Is there a specific website that will tell me how long a house has been for sale? I know the realtor I was using was able to find out this information, but since I'm no longer using her, I would like to find out this information myself

Could someone please explain to me the difference between direct lender and broker. On the radio, lot of folks claim that they are a direct lender which they can make their own decisions. However, I keep thinking that a direct lender is someone big like BoA and WAMU
Thanks

We are near the end of our lease (it ends July 21st) for a condo we are renting. We are actually moved, mostly, into our new home, and our contract with them says they can show the house 30 days prior to the end of our lease, as long as they let us know. All this is fine.

But we were informed today that they are putting a lockbox on the door to our condo. For some reason, I thought that this was illegal to do, since we technically still are renting the unit for another month, besides that, we are still paying all utilities and still have several things in the condo and garage that we have not moved yet.

So, question is, are they allowed to do this?

What are some typical things high school students pay for? And about how much do they cost?
My friend gets a monthly of money and she is trying to figure out how much she needs.
So if anyone can list things that a typical high school studenty would have to pay for like a yearbook, clothes, etc. that would be great!
Also if anyone can include the average amount to play soccer for the high school.

I just got hired in a retail setting but the store I work in is always empty with no or little customers. On average maybe only 10 customers come in per day. i was hoping that my main job would be sales, but since there are barely any customers I am really dissapointed with the position and I'm always bored there. What is a nice way of telling my boss that I'm going to quit because of this reason?

This person does similar things that I do and seems to have a lot of competitive advantages over me: better knowledge, more spare time (no family). Recently my manager offered me a possibility to grow, but now I feel that this person could be better at all the things that I am doing.

Went to an interview about 5 years ago. They had me come to their "District Office" in an older strip center. The secretary had me go back to talk to the "recruiting manager". His office was rather large, but the only furniture was a metal cabinet, two chairs and his desk, which looked older than he was. The guy then gave me a very rapid speech about making money promoting national products. He kept saying, how does that sound?" over and over again throughout his speech. I needed a job, so I agreed to go to their south office the next day. I got there and they assigned me to a "marketing manager." The guy then took me across town to an office park. He said we were going to be "marketing our promotions" to folks. What it all was, we were going door-to-door selling cheap crap. $5 fountains, the motors were louder than the water. $20 picnic sets that did not include plates. They said they marketed for Fortune 500 companies like disney, samsonite and Time-Warner. It was bull.

I am a real estate agent in a very competitive market. I have been asked by a potential listing customer to provide a detailed 12-week marketing plan. How can I ensure that, should I lose the listing, the client doesn't hand over my marketing plan to the competition. I know I will be competiting with these other agents again in the future.

We have a leak in our kitchen roof, which our insurance company (a major building society) were informed of in December 2006. After months of waiting, they sent someone down in May 07 to fix it. It's taken them a month to plaster the room and now it's leaking again!

Is there an agency responsible for checking consumers rights in such situations? We're at the end of our tethers, please help!

I you were to say, make $100,000 in the stock market in a year, I would have to pay 27% on it in my tax bracket. Can I just give the amount I have to pay in taxes to a church or charity organization and not have to give any of it to the government, or is the amount i give to charity just tax deductible? I'm not too sure about this, but i'd rather give my money to charities than to this government so I know where my money is actually going.

I have a great t-shirt idea and design that I have not seen anywhere. I want to put my design on a shirt and sell it through cafepress or something.

I'm just scared that a bigger company will take my idea, and I don't want that...........

How can I make my shirt and not have the slogan/design get stolen?

(yes, it's that awesome)
