I one day hope to have published a book, but I know that's a tough business to break into. But I love writing, I write so much and I think it would be great if I could find a career where that was a focus. I'm currently at a community college working in a generic associate in arts degree (university transfer) and I looked through the catalog...and they don't really have anything that caters to writing besides two creative writings courses with no attachments to a specific degree. I plan to take them both, but I'm just in limbo taking random classes. I've thought about journalism, what kind of career is that and stuff? (well what it is is obvious haha.). Any thoughts would be great :)

I'm reading where banks don't withhold or report tax on interest earned by non-resident aliens. If that's the case, do they get to avoid paying tax?

I have pasted below a direct quote from one of the many on-line job search engines? (the errors are real too)
Would you say this is an accurate statement? Are they really saying that I need to re-create my resume in the body of an email?

Tech Format:

Hiring managers have short attention spans. These people will not click on a link and visit your website. They will not read an attachment. Therefore, you must include your resume in the email text.
The email should be in ASCII text. Most hiring managers do not use applications that support HTML. Make sure you're not sending HTML email by checking the preferences of your mail client. your mail client.
Set your page width to "narrow" (60 characters max. per line). Use a hard return at the end of each line if you are in doubt.
Forget about trying to line up vertical columns, etc. They will not hold their alignment. They will look silly.
All headings should be capitalized. Lists should be set off by dashes (-) or asterisks

The IRS says that I owe a balance that I do not, they have miscalculated and mis-applied money they owe me to years that I owed them nothing rather than apply the money they owe me to years that I owe them. I have refused to pay them till they accept the correct balance. Now I have notice of a levy. Will they stop the levy at this point if I make monthly payment arrangements with them? What is the best step to take at this point?

My bf & I have been together almost 2 years, and we bought a house together about 2 months ago, and things haven't been going so well in our relationship, and the problem is we are both on the mortgage but I wanna break it off with him. So is there anything I can do to get off the mortgage and just let him keep the house?

Hello group,

I was reading an old book on how to start a business and in there, there was a list of different companies such as
S Company
LLC and ...

As a matter of fact, I'm going to register a company with a partner and I'm thinking of S company to register.

Just to ensure I'm on right track; can sombody advise me on the this again?

1) My concern is a having a partner but with the least dependency to each other. Is there any business or contract between two partners that allows them to work in the same location and under same business name but with separated rights? or responsibility in financial matters? if so how?
So far I think the S company type is the best I rather go with but I will appreciate it if you give me some hints.

2)How can help me to create a contract and make it formal and verify it in terms of legal issues?

Regards,
Amit

And, also any which I'd be better off avoiding altogether.

I'm hoping to find a combination of near the city (5-10 miles out) but semi-rural if possible.

Any recommendations, advice much appreciated cheers

I'm on a lease agreement with 3 others. I want to hand over my tenancy to someone else for the room I have. What can I do to make sure the person taking over my part of the lease pays the rent/deposit through the end of the lease agreement (ends August 31st). Please let me know if I can just make my own written agreement with someone for my room considering it is OK with the landlord. Thanks!

I have been working on a bath and body business idea for almost 2 years now. I have a domain name, website designed all but added the actual products, professional logo, preliminary formulas, marketing strategy (not actual plan yet, but I had a game plan), etc. The products and theme are geared toward a specific niche and I think I've done a pretty good job staying within that niche right down to product names and model photos. Anyway, is all this work worth anything? Perhaps on Ebay? My credit sucks and I have simply given up on ever being able to purchase the supplies I need to get started. And I don't want to just make a couple products here and there in a less that professional manner - I'm an all or nothing kind of person. So if I can't do it justice, I'd like to see someone else get it going. Thanks!
