we have been tryiny to buy a house from some builders and they have verbally given us ten completion dates and never honoured them. What do we do? Our mortgage has changed to higher terms after changing twice. presently they are not telling us anything concrete. We negotiated on this house because other houses were already built on the site with people living in them.We were given March 2006 as the completion date.We are frustrated and desperate because they changed the builders.We.need a solution

I would like to begin paying an extra house payment a year. How much will this really benefit me!They seem to always find a way to go up on a fixed loan. Does it make any difference at the beginning or end of the year! Just curious!

I require a bit of advice about an estate agent and whether I have a case against them. This is my story:-

I made an enquiry with an estate agent about an “affordable home”. I was required to provide a £250 deposit in order to reserve this property. On 5th June 2007 I attended at the estate agents to find out more about the property. I had the £250 deposit cheque that I had been told to bring with me. I was very keen to purchase this property but the estate agent told me that they could not take the deposit cheque until they had proof we could fund the purchase. They therefore made me an appointment to see their mortgage advisor the following week. When I attended to see their mortgage advisor she confirmed to me I could obtain a mortgage for this property but that she could not take matters any further that day because something had come up a section 106 agreement on the property and she needed to find out more before she could proceed to arrange a mortgage. Whilst I was with her she told the estate agents not to take anyone else’s deposit for this property until she had clarified the position. She said as soon as she heard from the local authority or the developer she would get back to me in order that I could proceed with the purchase. She then telephoned me on Friday last week to say she still hadn’t heard anything about the s106 agreement and that she was due to be receiving an email and as soon as she received it she would be in touch. I said I was still very keen to proceed.

However, on Monday this week I was looking on the estate agents website just out of interest and I noticed that the property I had enquired about was now sold subject to contract. I immediately contacted the estate agents and they confirmed that they had sold this property to somebody else. I explained the situation and how I had spoken to their mortgage advisor on Friday who said she was waiting to hear back still. They said to me that this person who is purchasing the property did not need a mortgage and the s106 agreement did not affect them. I have contacted the estate agents and they apologised to me and said that this has occurred because of a breakdown of communication between their company. I am very concerned and upset that they have now sold this property to somebody else. As far as I was concerned as soon as their mortgage advisor had received the information I would have been able to proceed. I was able to give the £250 deposit over two weeks ago but because of the difficulties that had arisen in relation to the s106 agreement I was told to hang on to it until the position was clearer

I do not believe that I should miss out on the opportunity to purchase this property because of a lack of communication on their part. I am very keen to purchase this property and I would like to know whether there is anything that I can do or say to them so that I can proceed with the purchase. I do not believe I should lose out because of them.

I had to give 3 months notice, which is fine by me, now they have decided to end my days not doing my normal tasks (systems analyst) but to land me with implementing and setting up a disaster recovery site. I havent a clue where to start, i have 8 good people working with me on this project , but they all seem to be a bit stumped. We have offices in Canary Wharf, London Wall and Cheapside. I do not think this is fair to put this on my shoulders, any body give me a heads up on where to start?

Hi, if you are a regular ebay user then I could use some of your existing knowledge. I was wondering if you could tell me how many days it takes for an item to be delivered to my doorstep after the purchase online. I have just registered as an ebay user and have just bought won the item of which is a laser printer, the money has been taken from my account as I have checked and I wanted how many days it takes for the arrival of the purchase. I was also wondering if you could give me your advice on the item I have just bought. I bought this big NEW Dell 5110 Laser printer for just £10.00 and £7.00 postage so £17.00 in total. I was so curious when I bought it and payed for it as it seems to be very less or a huge bargain because this item on the official dell website costs around £300-£600 pounds. So please if are a regular user of buying ebay items and paying online through "PayPal" tell me how many days it takes for the item to be delivered to my doorstep.

Earlier today I had a customer yelled, cussed, and insulted at me beyond imagination over the phone. I work at a college bookstore and she was getting mad at me at why we mark books as required when they aren't really so. I wanted to tell her to shut the **** up since the professor is the one that tells us to list the books and materials as so, and some times professors exaggerate on the materials that they want or they just want to make a profit since they were the one that wrote those textbooks. I was honestly trying to best explain to her about the procedures that take place in a college bookstore. I honestly do not get paid enough to deal with people like her. I have her phone number and I want to yell at her back while I'm not on the clock, what are my rights as an employee if I do so? What can she complain to the manager about? The fact that a normal citizen is going ape on her?

Good morning.

Several weeks ago, I decided that enough was enough and I was going to do what everyone else had done and reclaim my unauthourised bank charges off my Halifax account.

I hold 2 seperate accounts with them, and both in the last year have received charges. An amount of around £800. I as many of you cannot afford this at all.

Along with a copy of all my bank statements and highlighted charges I sent a copy of this letter with my details corrected:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/12_12_06_bank_14day.pdf

Within about 2 weeks I received my reply from Halifax Customer relations categorically stating "I have carried out a full investigation of your complaint and I am satisfied that the charges have been correctly applied to your account".

So, what's next? Since I have received this letter I have incurred ANOTHER £60 worth of computer generated charges, I cannot afford this, and certainly think it is unfair as I am on going a few pounds over.

it has come to our attention that our landlord has lost the lease we signed. we live in the state of washington.

anyone know what our rights are legally? can we move out early if they don't find the lease?

we are sick and tired of their disorganization, and this really is the last straw for us. we don't want to be here any longer than necessary.

When walking through various houses with my real estate agent, I often look at the curb appeal and other obvious things about the looks of the house. I want to know other things that I should look at in the house before considering making an offer.

I'm looking at mobile homes online and it'll say 'Property Taxes: $70' or something, along with the lot rent and such.

I'm just wondering if that $70 is monthly or yearly.

Thanks.
