Do You Want Lower Taxes?
What If I told you that your taxes could be lowered, our schools, roads, bridges, first responders, emts, police, and fire departments could all receive more funding and in addition to all of that we could finance research and development for renewable, clean energy sources and break our dependence on oil, coal and nuclear power just by ending Corporate Subsidies(also known as corporate "welfare")?
Please visit: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeactio...
and help us end Corporate Welfare. Any questions? Check out: http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa592.pdf...
or email me. Thanks for taking action!!

Our landlord returned our partial deposit 37 days after the lease ended, which is 7 days later than the law provides. He is saying that we did not surrender the property until a week after the lease was up, which is why the deposit was returned late. We left some stuff there after we moved out and we forgot to pick it up for awhile. They found a bag of pot in the kitchen too, I think it might have been one of ours. Landlord is using that as another reason for late return, saying that it freaked out the house cleaners. He took $900 of our deposit for cleaning and late rent charges. He gave us $500 back. How do I sue him for the remaining deposit? He lives in a different state, and he no longer owns the property.

I have some extra money that I'm looking to invest. I already have some money in the stock market and i'm looking to diversify my assets elsewhere. I have about $30k to invest. I dont want to put it in savings because I want to be more risky (hence more reward potential) with it. $30k isnt enough to put into real estate or into a business with a storefront. I work from 9-5ish and dont plan to quit my job. Any ideas?

I am getting a bonus on this next check. It is equal to about 15% of my salary and I can choose what percentage I want taken out for taxes. My first thought was to keep it the same as my paychecks but I am curious as to any potential benefits of doing it at a different rate.

I was offered a job a couple of months ago but when i handed in my notice, my current employer talked me round to staying. Now i realised that I have made a mistake. I contacted the company that originally offered me the job and they have agreed to see me again in a week or so. Do you think i have a chance? what sort of things should I be saying in the interview to persuade them that they should still employ me after messing them about. I did phone them up and decline the offer, didn't just not turn up. Also what is the best thing to say in the interview as to why I have changed my mind again? I need to wow this guy at the interview and convince him that I am a sales guy worth having, What would you do. Thanks

I know if interst rate goes up the real estate goes down. Is it possible that dollor goes lower against all currencies and interst rate remains low. I think lower dollor will bring inflation, and interst rate will go up, but that's not happening

Recently, after being a flat to down performer over the prior 12-18 months, Pgr announced an extraordinary dividend of $2/share and an additional 100 million share buyback plan. This will add shareholder value, and most likely attract new shareholders to their stock. Still, could this attract a buyout offer in this time of consolidation in other industries.

I have a lease that I will pay off. The type off lease I have, I already paid the taxes up front. The problem is the car is under my father's name even though I've been paying for the whole thing myself. Now the car will be transferred to my name. Do I have to pay taxes again? My father will have to give it to me as a gift (even though I've been paying for it the whole time) , but then would I have to report this and pay taxes again on my 2007 tax return??

2 QUESTIONS!

I'm selling my wedding rings... I just had them cleaned up and appriased by a jeweler. He told me not to sell them to a jeweler or one of those crappy "we buy jewelery" places because they would rip me off. He said my best bet is to sell them on my own.

I guess my only real option is ebay being that nobody reads the newspaper. I have only used ebay about 12 times since I signed up in 2001 so my score is 12. (question 1) Will that deter somebody from buying from me? The rings are worth $15K and I'm hoping to get at least $10K.

(question 2) Other than taking my chances with ebay, does anyone know of a better way for me to get the most possible money and securely?

Thanks!

(please do not answer with opinions on selling my rings or if you don't have an answer to my actual question)
