I work with 5 other colleagues in the same job, we all work alone but doing the same job at different times. We work in shifts everyone for 28 hours. Now is my boss calling my colleagues and asking questions about me, how they think I am doing my work. Probably some of them have giving him negative things about me because i need to come and see him about some issues. I dont know about what. But I never work with my colleages we just meet eachother when we change shifts so only our client could make complaints about my work if there are any. Complaints from my colleagues couldnt be about work it only can be their opinion about the 5 minutes they see me. So it would be hear say. Isnt it? I am sure that there are no complaints from clients so do I have to be afraid of my job? Just because some colleagues doesnt like me, he cant judge me for that? Can he?

I am doing a favor for a non-profit company. I am working on filing their tax return which I found out was due May 15th. There is a penalty for late filing. I heard that there was a form I could fill out asking the IRS to waive the penalty. If so, what form is this, and what do I need to say to get them to waive this penalty?

Is there a legal form we can fill out showing 75/25 vested interested in the property? Every website I go to says lawyer can draw up agreement for about 300 dollars. Can't we just do our own and have it notorized? Is there a free form we can print online? Does it need to be filed with the County or just kept in files in the event of a breakup? Every penny counts.. we'd like to complete ourselves. Thanks for your help!

Is death due to AIDS is a bar for claiming Life insurance benefits? Recently, on of our office staff affected with AIDS was admitted and died in a Government Hospital. Some well wishers(?) advised their family members that they can not get their Life Insurance benefits if the death certificate indicates AIDS as a disease. Hence he was discharged just before death. They took a certificate from a different doctor with cause of death as heart attack. Is it true? Is death due to AIDS or HIV+ve related deaths are excluded for purpose of preferring Life Insurance claims.

I have boxes of stamps for a collection but I don't collect. What would be the best way of seeing if someone would use them? From some reading I have done I believe there is some value here but I want someone else to have them. I'm too old to start anything like that now. There should be some collector or maybe a parent or grandparent who would like to interest their youngsters in collecting. Any ideas about where to start? There is a lot more than just stamps here, too.

Ok, I quite gambling about 3 months ago, but I just recently had a relapse, and drained my checking account, I also took out my wells fargo personal line of credit, thinking I'd use it to pay some bills until I got paid...but I ended up draining most of that too. I'm in college right now(taking summer classes)...Besides my student loans, I've got $3400 on one credit card, and $2200 on another, and now this $950 personal line of credit. This one gambling site said they'd refund $1000 of the money I used, because I was banned from their site for a gambling problem months ago, but now they're saying they won't give the refund. So I'm gonna dispute the charges. I taped the conversation where they said they'd refund the money(putting my cell phone on speaker phone and using that windows recording program), so I'll use that as leverage against them. I'm planning on using my stafford loans in the fall to pay off one credit card, and the wells fargo loan. Any advice?

I'm entering my sophomore year in high school & headed to a private school. The principle wants to know what I want to become so I can start taking special classes to prepare for it (example, I'm going to take a second language but depends what field I want to work in which language will help me the most), and when I reach junior I will be taking pre-college classes which I don't fully understand right now but yeah... I'm not that good at math, I'm better at science, English, and history... I want to make at least 90 thousand a year and I want my job to be secure so I don't have to worry about getting fired. I really want to work with wildlife, like a biologist or something interesting like that because I need a career with minimal paperwork due ADHD, (I cannot sit still, and its pretty hard to concentrate on something that doesn't interest me).

Lets say I receive $10,000 or more today or within the month or within the year from self-employment(I work for myself). I'm also a dependent, full time college student, under 23, never filed taxes before, and live in Texas.

1. What form or forms do I have fill out?
2. Since I'm a dependent do my parents fill out something as well?
3. When do I and/or my parents have to report it?
4. What is the limit I can make before I am no longer considered a dependent?

I thank all that help me find out this information.

Bernie and Pam Britten are a young married couple beginning careers and establishing a household. They will each make about $50,000 next year and will have accumulated about $40,000 to invest. They now rent an apartment but are considering purchasing a condominium for $100,000. If they do, a down payment of $10,000 will be required.

They have discussed their situation with Lew McCarthy, an investment advisor and personal friend, and he has recommended the following investments:

The condominium - expected annual increase in market value = 5%.
Municipal bonds - expected annual yield = 5%.
High-yield corporate stocks - expected dividend yield = 8%.
Savings account in a commercial bank-expected annual yield = 3%.
High-growth common stocks - expected annual increase in market value = 10%; expected dividend yield = 0.
Calculate the after-tax yields on the foregoing investments, assuming the Brittens have a 28% marginal tax rate (based on Public Law 108-27, The Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003).
How would you recommend the Brittens invest their $40,000? Explain your answer.
