Hey, so I got hired at this clothing retail store, and they told me I was hired on Monday (6/11) pretty recently after the interview (6/6). They said they would call by yesterday, Friday (6/15) if one got the job or not, so I made the cut off pretty well. Well, they told me schedules had already been printed so they'll call me later in the week....they never called, so today I called them and they said that my name is in the system, but I don't have any hours because I haven't had orientation yet (4 hours). They told me to call back at 4. So i called back about 10 minutes ago, and the nice lady I was supposed to talk to wasn't there (yet she told me to call), and this other person told me to call monday at noon. I'm getting kind of scared now....anybody help me? This is American eagle

My business has been open for 4 years & its legal name is a 1 word name that's also used by a similar business of the same type in another state. However, our DBA includes the name of the town in which I do business. Due to the lawsuit, i have to be careful, so as an example, lets say my business is a coffee shop named "Java". My DBA is "Java--a Jonesville Coffeehouse." (NO, I'm not fighting Starbucks-thank god!)

Their DBA uses "Java" but their legal name does not. They DO have a US Trademark ("Service Mark") for "Java Coffeehouse".

Does anyone have any experience with business name trademark issues?

Any attorneys or people familiar with patents or Intellectual Property with advice?
My friend (an attorney) advised me to add my city name to my DBA years ago to add "locationality" to try to prove, if this ever came up, that no one could confuse the 2 companies since we clearly state our town.
P.S.There are also about 20 other businesses with the same name throughout the US.

My father has a large tax lien on his house about 80,000. My mother and him hold title to the house. He has been trying to settle but it is going slow. I am hearing conflicted information about taxes and liens. Is it true that the IRS can come in an force you to sell the house even though my mother is innocent in the matter? Is there such as thing as an innocent spouse? What can be done to resolve this issue?

We have had nothing but trouble getting Sears to come out on a Service call. We have Extended Service Contracts with them and they make us wait 2 to 3 weeks to come out to repair our washer or do maintenance service on our air conditioning! Many times they never show up and when we call-several times- they say the tech is backed up .Finally afterr 4 or 5 calls they tell us it was canceled as they had no tech available. Recently our washer needed major repair to the tune $500 in parts and labor. They didn't show up 3 times and when they did they fixed it. Today the washer dumped water all over the place again. We called and explained the situation and got nowhere! Now we have to wait 2 more weeks for the tech to show up. If he comes at all. We asked if they could send someone soon to ok a new washer . We were told that we had to wait for the tech to say that we need a replacement! I emailed customer service.No one gets backto me. What should we do?

i'm not sure how to do the math in order to calculate a mortgage payment. if i'm interested in a house that's 150,000 and i'm able to put down $30,000 and i got a mortgage rate of 6%, what is the monthly payment on this? and how do i do the math so that i can estimate on other properties that i might see? is there a formula?

I have some debt. I have $400 a month going to credit cards and personal loans. Would a girl not date a guy who has these liabilities. I am college educated, and I pay my bills on time. I am very confused. I have to file her 2004 taxes as he passed away Feb. 2005. My father died in 2003 but my mother did it for him.
I am using taxbrain.com and don't see an option anywhere for someone like me who is filing for someone else who passed away. Do I just file as though I were her? Will the refund come to me and if so, what happens when the payment to IRS comes FROM me? Will they start asking questions?
What if I can't find all the forms to file for her? I don't know everything she did but have some ideas.

ok, so i work at a local coffee shop now {the bump and grind...real original name huh?}
