I'd like to send carepackages to Iraq to the soldiers. I've heard you just take the package to the Post Office addressed Any Soldier IRAQ. Is this true? Sounds kind of like Santa Claus letters.

Go to the website Send A Soldier and their you can view the soldiers and see what they need.. I sent some stuff to a bunch of female soldiers. I cleaned out my bathroom cabinet and sent all kinds of samples and femenine hygene products... They have instructions on what to send/how to send.. It didn't cost much either.. I sent a huge box a wholesale box size (diaper) and it was under $20.... good luck and I hope that helps. I also got an e-mail back from them...

I published a similar question as quickly as I first joined this website. I have been given chewed up via some people who theory sending them something could be risky to the soldier. Now, i'm not sure why yet, i can allow you recognize to persist with your heart! in case you sense such as you may try this then, you do as you think of and sense is nice. i replaced into advised to bypass to the community VFW in my section as they'd get me each and every of the archives i mandatory and that they've alot that i ought to help with! nicely, that did no longer "pan" out for me. So, i won't be able to recommend this to you. fairly, all i know to do is to bypass with your heart and do what you sense is the final ingredient to do.

With the onset of terrorism it is no longer possible to send packages to 'any soldier'.
Up until Iraq it WAS possible.
