I no longer work for the company with whom I own about $3000.00 through Mellon IN vestor Services.

I just recieved a notice giving me three options:
1. Transfer all shares to a regular shareholder accout with Mellon INvestor Services.

2. Issue certificates for all whole shares

3. Sell all shares and close the account ($2.00 service fee for each transaction involving a sale. The share price per share will be an average of all the companies shares sold that day)

I have very limited knowledge on stocks. can someone help please?

My sister is bipolar, will never be able to work, is on welfare and somehow managed to run up $15,000 in credit card debt. She clearly will never be able to function in the real world again, so doesn't care about her credit rating. Bankruptcy costs $1500 to file, where she lives in Canada, and she is thinking she will just not bother. She hopes the credit card companies will stop calling and one day just write off her debt if they can't find her. Is she correct? What should I advise her to do? She can barely cope with life and needs advice.

Less than a year ago I bought a car. Since then my financial situation has changed dramatically to where I have doubts if I will be able to pay for it or not. This might sound naive but is there any way I could just say I wanted to return the car and not be liable for the remaining payments instead of waiting for the inevitable which is my not being able to pay on it?

I'm already offering an incentive of paying for a portion of the assessment fees for a few months (was going to do 3 months, but may move it up to 6 months). The area I live in has 80 condos and as of this morning 3 more listed (including mine). There are another 3 for sale already. These condos are all fairly new (mine was built in 2004 and I'm the original owner). I have a great real estate agent, but am looking for other options to get the upper hand on the others selling also. The prices for each condo varies too (we are all the same size, same floor plan). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a telephone interview on Tuesday for a job that I recently applied for and I'm trying to do some research into the type of questions I'm likely to be asked. I think one of the questions I could be asked has something to do with how to handle a dissatisfied and angry customer.

Does anyone know of any good resources to get free information for writing up a rent to own contract. We are selling a single family attached home (previously a duplex) with a down payment of $5000 and partial rent credit for 12 months. Examples of contracts would be helpful.

My boyfriend is going to school to be an airplane mechanic. He graduates in December of this year.

He currently has a job making 13.33 dollars an hour (working at an airport) and he'll be making 50,000 dollars starting in Jan. of 08.

My step dad has his own landscaping business and makes close to a million dollars per year (I'm not spoiled..key word 'STEP' dad..the guys a jerk)...

My boyfriend sees the income that my step-dad gets and he likes what he sees. He doesnt want to do it as his primary job, but while we're saving money for a house he wants to cut grass for some extra pocket money. He has a trailor, a mower, and a dependable truck...he also got an "LLC" ..(so that if he gets sued for some reason they cant take the house/etc...) .. and he knows he has to get insurance.

Is this a good idea?

I'm going to make some flyers for him this weekend and we're going to go around and put them up in stores/peoples houses..

Suggestions??

Does this charge apply to mail from the United States to a foreign country? I suppose there is some kind of maximum envelope thickness allowed at least. But I was just wondering if there is an extra charge for sending a not uniformly flat envelope overseas.

I have a Saks account that is in collections from about 7 years ago and I just got a call this morning from a new collection agency that is handling the case. They informed me that if I do not setup anything by 12 PM today that they would recommend the case to go as an involuntary collection. I personnally have never heard of this and I am unaware as to what happens in that situtation. I do know that collection agencies do use terms and tactics at times to scare people into paying their debts, and I have full intentions of paying mine i just cannot afford to do so right now. Can anyone shead some light on this for me and advice on how I should handle this. I also know that they will accept a settlement, what method should I use to get the lowest settlement payment when I can afford to pay it off.
