Right now I'm getting turned down for alot of jobs because I have alot of bad debt due to marital problems. Since I can find a job the debt just gets worse! Good Old Catch-22.

My question is, since employers cannot use a bankruptcy against you in the hiring decision, would it be better for me to file bankruptcy? Would that actually raise my chances of getting hired?

I recently graduated from college with a biology degree and will begin nursing school in the fall. For the past year during my semester breaks, I have worked for a home healthcare company as an office assistant and homemaker/companion for clients. Recently one of the RN's sons has begun working at the company and since then I noticed some changes. My boss no longer trusts me and seems to be turning the office employees against me. Everything I do is a problem. For example, my handwritting is suddenly an issue. When anything is missing, I get blamed. If I write a personal email, I am scolded for wasting time, while my fellow employees sometimes talk on AIM or send text messages. There suddenly is a desperate attempt to know where I am and what I am doing at all times if I leave to visit clients. I hold one of the highest educational degrees in the company, yet I have not received a raise and am paid one of the lowest salaries. The question is should I quit?

I need to design a regular-sized (8 1/2 x 11) advertising flyer (printed on both sides) that will be folded in half and mailed. Folding the page in half horizontally, there will be a photo on the front, a full page of information inside, and the back will be the address/postage area.

My question: should the flyer open to reveal the inside information from the photo side or from the address side? For example, when my customer opens the flyer, should the inside text be oriented so the customer looks at the photograph on front and then opens the flyer to read the inside, OR should the customer view the postage area and then open the flyer to read the inside?

I know this question relates to whether you flip on the vertical or horizontal edge when printing 2 sides. Is there an industry standard? Thanks for your help.

I have a home loan that I've made 8 payments on so far. The initial loan amount was for $139,650 at a simple interest rate of 8.5%. The interest accrues on a yearly basis. The bank calculated my monthly payment to be $1,130 / month. Alright, so I'm getting ready to sell the house and I call up the bank to ask how much I still owe on the house. They tell me $139,400. That's only $250 that I've paid off after paying 8 payments of $1,130 (which is $9,040)! I've done this calculation: I = PRT, which gives I = $139,650 * 0.085 * 1 = $11,870.25 of interest this year. $11,870.25 / 12 = $989.19 of interest per month. This should mean I'm paying $1,130 - $989.19 = $140.81 of principle per month, which is about $1,125 over the course of 8 payments! So why have I only paid $250 towards the principle? What am I missing here?

My husband and i have been renting for nearly a year we have 4 children, our tenancy is due to be over at the end of July, instead of renewing the tenancy the Landlord has served a Section 21 on us asking us to leave becuase a former tenant wants to move back in. Even though we have looked after the house and there are no rent arrears, he is still making me and my husband and 4 children homeless becuase he wants a previous tenant to move back in. Does anyone know my rights?

I am not anything near an official business.

No insurance. No bonding. Not incorporated.
Not fully experienced in any trade.

I assemble pre-fab furniture, hang shelves (wall mount), pictures, mirrors, plasma screens, do general repairs, and on rare occasion paint.

So far I have not been paying to advertise and I want to make a move away from doing only residential jobs and towards doing work for business and government clients.

Good ideas for where to start advertising with less than or near a $100.00 per month?

I am 23 years old. I manage a sporting goods/printing store in a small town. We opened over a year ago and have a couple more stores in the works of going up in other states. My question is...I only make $9.00 an hour and live in a small town with a first baby on the way with my husband. He is a police officer. my dad is part owner in this store. Should I be embarassed of my job?? It is one that does take some skill and orginization, but one that high schoolers work at from time to time to cover shifts. I did go to school for skincare and nails and did that for some time, but gas is so expensive that I don't want to drive and ultimately do make more money at this job and its guaranteed. I guess I have been second guessing myself lately and am always so worried that people think that I'm a loser. I don't know what to do, it is really bothering me. Thanks for the advice everyone!
