I have been a paralegal for over 10 years now, and most of my family are attorney's. The best paying jobs I have seen are 1) Tax attorney's 2) attorney's that are knowledgeable with ERISA 3) and lastly Intellectual Property seems to be the new "hot" thing to do these days. Everywhere I go, the fact that I have IP knowledge, is great.

Corporate Law is pretty good. but it all depends on where you can get a job out of law school and experience you have will determine your salary. you sound like you want to become an attorney b/c you think it pays well. it doesn't always work like that and you once you graduate, you may not get into a firm or field you want. trust me, there are new lawyers out there making less than me.

It's not the area of law, that is highest paying, it's the attorney's expertise in that particular filed that commands the high salary for the attorney.

if you want the HIGHEST, paying field of law, it is corporate lawyer, because you are in charge of millions or billions of dollars, just 1% is alot. unfortunately you'd probably have to share it with a group of corporate lawyers for big companies dont usually have one =\
