You can generally become qualified to take your state RN tests by taking a 2-year RN program that some community colleges offer. The courses are hard, yes. Your program of study will include time in various health provider facilities including hospitals, working directly with patients under the supervision of someone who is already at least an RN.

It will be about 5 years for a BSN (including prerequesites). And 3 if you just want an AS.
