Went to an interview about 5 years ago. They had me come to their "District Office" in an older strip center. The secretary had me go back to talk to the "recruiting manager". His office was rather large, but the only furniture was a metal cabinet, two chairs and his desk, which looked older than he was. The guy then gave me a very rapid speech about making money promoting national products. He kept saying, how does that sound?" over and over again throughout his speech. I needed a job, so I agreed to go to their south office the next day. I got there and they assigned me to a "marketing manager." The guy then took me across town to an office park. He said we were going to be "marketing our promotions" to folks. What it all was, we were going door-to-door selling cheap crap. $5 fountains, the motors were louder than the water. $20 picnic sets that did not include plates. They said they marketed for Fortune 500 companies like disney, samsonite and Time-Warner. It was bull.

Worst thing about those scams are that many times they use minors to do the bidding for them. I get 15~17 year old kids coming around selling craps at least once a month. Sometimes I buy them because I feel sorry for the children who sell them.

Yes, in a way. The company that I'm with doesn't send me anywhere though. I get to work from my home, spend time with my family, take time off whenever I need it and never fear losing my position.

This company is MomExecs. Please don't let the name scare you! We are actually in the process of creating a new name because of the fact that we have so many male partners!

We market natural, non-caustic, non-toxic products, as well as the opportunity to build your own business, with lots of support. Best of all, there is NO direct selling, NO need to stock inventory, NO collecting money.

Take a look and contact me as soon as you have questions. I'm happy to help you find the answers.

This sounds fairly legit compared to some other marketing scams out there. At least you were selling something tangible.

Well, there were red flags waving all over that one early on. I hope you at least got paid something for the time you worked.
