A tip you leave at a restaurant is the server's wages. In fact, it even gets taxed. So basically tips are taxed twice, from the tipper and the tipee.

The description is saying "subject to corporate approval" and "as is." I know as is means that nothing will be fixed, but I don't exactly know what "corporate deal" or "subject to corporate approval" means. Does this mean it was an estate and the bank owns it now? Or maybe it means it was a foreclosure or something? ALSO, I have cash to buy the house, and I'm wondering if this will help or hurt me in the bidding process of a "corporate deal." Thanks to anyone who can help me!

We have an 80/20 mortgage. We moved in 3 months ago and it is tough for first time home buyers. Any chance of taking out a home equity line? The condo appraised for more than it is worth.

My adjustable rate has gone up this month and will go up again in 6 months.

Will I be able to get a fixted rate with credit scores between 680 and 720.

How do I go about it and will I have to have my home apraised? I bought the house for 160000.00 and now owe about 130000.00 on it. How much will they refinace, all of it or only 80%.

The rate is going to kill me.

I'm a 22 year-old, healthy male(don't smoke or do anything considered dangerous), who lives with my Dad. My Dad's employer only pays $10,000 to him if something happened to me. I'd like to get a life insurance plan where I can make my Dad the beneficary. I've been told Term Life would be my best, but was hoping other answers. Thanks for the help.

I have a product that would be great to sell at Christian stores or for fundraising. I would like to start out selling these to Christian stores and see if they would then help me market the product as a fundraiser for local churches. I have a bunch of numbers of the different stores in my area but I'm not sure how to go about asking them if they would be interesting in selling my product. I have a powerpoint that shows my product and what it is about that I would like to email these companies but I would like to call them first to get their email address and make sure it is ok to email them my presentation for them to look at. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

For capital gains purposes, do I use the inherited cost as the basis for figuring capital gains or since it is an inheritance is the entire sale taxable?

We sold one house and we have exactly 3 weeks before the next closing. We will need that money for the next closing, but wanted to do something to make a little more money instead of just letting it sit for 3 weeks.

We have thought about just applying it to our current mortgage, but that won't gain us more than about $50.

Does anyone know of something we are not thinking of to increase that $15,000 without losing any of it?

Thank you.

Would you rather have thousands of dollars saved up in the bank with an equal amount of debt

OR

No debt at all, but be completely flat on your as# flat broke.

I'd rather have that $20,000 in the bank with $20,000 of debt because at least I'd know that I've got some finacial security for emergencies and for my future.

Afterall, people have thousands saved up yet have thousands left to pay off their car. They don't pay it off all at once because they know it's better to have some security, AMI RIGHT OR WHAT?

We rent in CA, and for over a week there has been construction on our building. It goes on from sun up to sun down and it's very loud. I work from home and the noise makes it very difficult to focus, not to mention my new born has trouble sleeping. Per Southern California cost of living, we are paying nearly 75.00 a day to live here! What rights do tenants have in this situation? Can the company still charge us full rent under these circumstances?
