At the University of Illinois I shared an apartment with two other people and we each split utilities and rent. Our lease lasts until august 16, and my roommates are staying at the apartment all summer while I went back home to the suurbs to work. They have asked me to continue splitting utility bills in addition to the rent. Is this right, considering the fact that I am not using their water/internet/power?

I have been trying for months to get a Key workers job so that I can get a home through the key workers housing scheme. But seeing as it is so hard to get a key workers job I was wondering if it was possible for a account make it look like (In some sort of way) I am a key worker?. Just for a few months. Because I heard that the housing scheme needs proof that you are a Key Worker.

I live in a terrace house all former council. All my
neighbours like me now own their homes. Did my neighbour
to the right side have the right to replace the fence that
divides our gardens without first asking us. Was this fence not a party fence. Fence was previously 3 1/2 ft now 6ft.

My husband and I are buying a home. The home we are looking at is about $73,000. We were quoted a 6.25% interest rate for a 30 year note with a monthly payment of $908 (without tti). This seemed quite excessive to me. Coming home and doing the calculations (on bankrate.com's mortgage calculator), a 30 year note of $73,000 with a 6.25% interest rate should result in a $450 monthly payment. In order to get my monthly payment up to $908, I had to make my interest rate 14.75%. Now, the underwriter said the 6.25% wasn't the APR. What does that mean? Why would I have two interest rates, and why is one so much higher than the other? If we pay $908 a month, we end up paying $326,000 for a $78,000 home. This seems a little ludicrous to me. Anyone with financial experience got any wisdom to share?

I was appointed director of a new start up company 3 months ago. I ve never held such a position before. The owner of the company convince me to because he thought I was up for it and would guide me through it. the owner believe in the company and think it will work well.

Now after 3 months and now being a permanent staff the guy holding the shares for the owner comes to me and says that he want to wind up the company because we have not proved that the company is worth investing in.

He suggested I resign and take a 2 months salary and go away.
He also wants to get rid of the other staff...

HELP
Can the shareholder do that?

I quit my job recently, and was offered a contract position for 2 months. One week after starting, another company offered me a permanent position with twice the salary of the contract one, plus benefits, and a nearer distance. Thing is, they won't wait until my contract finishes, and they want me to start in 2 weeks. Or they'll pass the position to someone else.

My contract letter doesn't mention anything at all about notice of termination period or anything. What should I do? I feel bad about wanting to let go after only one week, but it's an opportunity not to be missed.

Alright, since I am not of legal age of consent to possess and sign a contract to have my own credit/debit card my parent/.guardian can sign a paper at the bank so I can get my own debit in their name, but it's mine to go and buy something on the internet or something.

But theres an issue I'm wondering, since it will be in my fathers name does his credit score pile onto me so, lets say I go and buy something off the internet and its $15 a month(World of warcraft), I can't do it cause of his credit. Is this true? Or am I on a clean slate so if I put $15 from my paycheck every two weeks thats $30 a month which will build up meaning I am consistant on my bill?

I'm 16 years old, and I'm new to the working world. I'm really nervous, and this sounds stupid but, how do I obtain a job application? Online or in person? If I went to a store to get an application, who would I ask? How would I ask? The question I would really like to be answered is "who would I ask?"

I hope YOU(yes, I'm talking to YOU) can answer me. Any helpful responses would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I'm really nervous about getting a job. =[ Please help me overcome my fears. Did I mention I'm very nervous?

I'm renting a flat privately. I moved in at the end of July last year. The bathroom has a bath only & no shower. My contract is due to be signed again for another 6 months in July. Due to work commitments, I havent really spent much time at the flat since I moved in, but am back at home all the time now, and I really miss having a shower.
How do I ask my Landlord to install a shower? Is it something that I should offer to contribute towards or if he agrees, should he pay the full cost?
SENSIBLE ADVICE ONLY PLEASE!

OK, I went to an interview (for a receptionist at a law firm) last Thursday. My interviewer (women) told me she would get back to me Tuesday or Wednesday to let me know if I was going to get a second interview (or hire me). I think my interview went really well and she loved my questions @ the end.
She did not call/email today.
.
Should I go up there tomorrow (being pursistent) to ask if the position was taken or something of that sort. I am getting 50/50 answers & I need someones opinion.
.
Thank you!
