I know that many ebay sellers make money by selling overstock, discontinued, catalog returns, liquidated, and lost freight merchandise. I know many such sellers sell great brands like Pottery Barn, things from Macy's stores, etc. What I want to know is, how do they get this merchandise, must they possess a business license to buy it, and must they make a minimum purchase? Also, do they buy by the piece, or in a lot, and can they see the items before they buy them? I am interested in doing this myself, and can't find reliable info.

My friend has had a letter from the tax credits saying they want proof of her childcare costs, the thing is her baby doesn't go to childcare and hasn't for over a year and she rung the tax credits and told them this. But it seems they have been paying her for it still, in addition her P60 wages is about 6 grand more than what she advised them because her husband left her in the May so she had to go full time at work in order to be able to pay the bills, but she never told the tax credits (although they had taken into account her husbands wages which were no longer coming into the house) her husband didn't end up coming back until Christmas (because he missed the kids the pig)

So now she is panicking that they are going to send her to prison

Do you think if she offered to pay whatever she owes them back in a lump sum (she said she will get a loan if she has to) then the tax credits won['t send her to prison, as she is very very worried and hasn't been able to sleep :0(

hi
there is not enough equity in our home for my ex to give me the sum of money he promised he would.
As he promised me a sum of money, i had put in an offer for a new house, with me having a mortgage.
Now My ex has suggested us having a joint mortgage on my new place, with him not on the title deeds and getting it all done legally
I will lose the house i have bidded for if we cant come up with an answer.
I know i am only entitled to what i am entitled to, but he is adamant he wants to see me settled again and have my own place and will help how he can

I am looking at a new business venture in real estate. I wish to open a new agency under a brand new name, however am not personally a licensed agent.
Am I able to establish a new agency (and provide all funding and be a director), and hire a licensed real estate agent to be the principal in charge so that the agency can be legally registered?

I would also be looking at have a finance division of the business in home loan brokerage.

Cheers

What is the motivation for a buyer or seller to purchase or sell Real Estate with out the assistance of a professional? For sellers it is mainly due to the commision? Buyers don't have to pay for the services provided by a Realtor so why not?

We are supposed to be closing on a house ( we got financing & a co-signer),we were supposed to close last week but we were held up because they did 2 inspections,1 I think last month (the mortgage broker guy was there,so I dunno why)
by a contractor,& they got an estimate to the seller how much it will cost (they are taking the money out after the closing to pay for the repairs, they will put it in "escrow" under the attorney's control, then last week there was ANOTHER inspection, which is why we were delayed, they finally recieved the updated inspection report & the permit. That's all we were waiting for;now the closing SHOULD happen next week. What day do they usually have closings? They said something about Tuesday..
I want to get it over with already..one way or the other. What if they delay it another week? I'm worried..
Hope you understand the situation a little better (O & we are the buyers)
N.

I found a home for sale for $36,000, this is less than 1/2 of the appraised value. The owner lives about 6 hrs away and he recently had a heartattack and now doesn't want to deal with the home and property (about 1/4 of an acre). Also, he was renting it. He redid the master bath and his tenants really liked it so they asked if they could redo the entire house. he said yes so they knocked out every wall. The home is completley gutted. I see this as being a way to redo the home to my likings, and honestly I'm excited about it. I know the money and the work involved so please don't preach that to me. it is a 4 bedroom 2 bath, over 2000 sq ft. Within the past few yrs it has had new vinyle siding put on and the electrical has completley been upgraded. Now, other than the walls the porch needs redone. and I'll replace the windows (theyre the old fashioned narow kind). We have had the place checked over and there is nothing wrong. and about 1/4 of the insulation and drywall is there. so?

My husband was just asked to move to the London office located in Trafalgar Square ( please excuse the spelling) from the U.S.A.. We currently have three cars, a 5 bedroom home and we are able to travel several times throughout the year. I don't want to lose my standard of living too much with this move. What is a nice ( not rediculous) monthly salary for a family of 5? We want to be able to travel around the United Kingdom and France at least one weekend a month. I am concerned about the price for schools also. Speaking of children, I never hear much about children in London, is there much for them to do? I assume there are mother groups in London just like in the U.S.?
