My husband and I currently own a townhouse and are looking for something bigger. For the price we can afford, we can either get a bigger, nicer townhouse or a decent home (ranch) that does need a lot of updating (ie there's ugly wallpaper in every room!!!). We really want our own single family home with fenced in yard.. but all that work that has to be done is kind of a turn off. What do you think is a better move? Another townhouse or go for the single family?

A few months ago I went on a job interview and after a few questions the interviewer wanted to know my nationality. So, I told her where I was from but later someone told me that it is a somewhat discriminatory question... How was I supposed to handle that?!!

The "Where are you from?" question comes up on a daily basis with instructors, salespersons, healthcare providers... you name it. I do not mind telling them but lately it has become a bit repetitive. Yes, I am answering the same question over and over like a broken record!!! Any suggestions please?!!

(stepmom) charged you 2 times on your credit card for one service. I went to her semenar and was charged $75 and then a quick $70 after that. I saw her make 2 quick swipes. I asked her as the receipts came out if she charged me twice and she said she didn't. About 2 months later I saw it on the statement that she did charge me twice. I called her and left a message on her voicemail. That was 3 days ago. I called the credit card company and they said that I have to make contact with the merchant, which I did.
My former Stepmom says that she donates everything she gets to homeless shelters for battered women. Lame?
She also had us play this money game during the semenar. I didn't have any money to give to the pot but there was one girl that gave $20 and another that gave $5. It was undecided and the last one to break the chain of votes was my SM. I won because my SM voted for me. But she gave me only $5 in front of everyone. Is this a Judge Judy case or what?

Is there a governmental interest free credit plan for uk penioners who own their own home. My mother and my aunt have both heard of this but cannot find any details. I've searched the net for them but find nothing related, only loan sharks. If you have no detailed knowledge then suggestions on search words would also be helpful (other than "governmental interest free credit plan uk penioners homeowner"). Thanks.

I just started working at Disneyland. They make it so that you always have 2 weeks of schedule out at any given times. Its only been a week since I've started working and already twice I've gone to my job and they've extended my shift like 3 hours. Is it legal and right for them to do that? I say I'm busy. The first time it happened they gave me a compromise time. But the second time they made me work about 3 hours extra saying that I should expect to work 8 hours if i'm not scheduled 8 hours. Yeah, so basically, are they allowed to do that? (PS: I'm a minor, but I graduate in 2 weeks)

What is the salary equivalent for $20 an hour, $25, an hour, $30 an hour, and $35 an hour?

I'm pretty sure it isn't as obvious as (x amount per hour)*(x hours per week)*(52 weeks) because we obviously don't work 52 weeks a year. There are forced vacations (christmas, thanksgiving, july 4th, etc), as long as personal vacations and sick days.
