(stepmom) charged you 2 times on your credit card for one service. I went to her semenar and was charged $75 and then a quick $70 after that. I saw her make 2 quick swipes. I asked her as the receipts came out if she charged me twice and she said she didn't. About 2 months later I saw it on the statement that she did charge me twice. I called her and left a message on her voicemail. That was 3 days ago. I called the credit card company and they said that I have to make contact with the merchant, which I did.
My former Stepmom says that she donates everything she gets to homeless shelters for battered women. Lame?
She also had us play this money game during the semenar. I didn't have any money to give to the pot but there was one girl that gave $20 and another that gave $5. It was undecided and the last one to break the chain of votes was my SM. I won because my SM voted for me. But she gave me only $5 in front of everyone. Is this a Judge Judy case or what?

Don't pay this charge on your bill. Let the CC company deal with her company. It doesn't matter if you are related or not. This is business.

She will have to show the receipt to the CC company or the bill will be charged back to her.

This is a toxic relative. Stay away from her and her tricks.

Let your card company know that you did talk to her about it and that she refused to return your call.

She will end up with a $50 "chargeback fee" from Visa / Mastercard in addition to having the extra $70 deducted from her bank account.

Dispute the charges, they will send her a letter- she'll have to show them two signatures (I am assuming you didn't sign the second copy, right?)

Then stay away from this nutcase.

Sounds suspicious.

I am an evil person so I recommend that you perform a sting operation and youtube her lying and cheating about money.

On the other hand, just go up to her and give her a big hug, because that is what she really needs. She needs some love and care so she doesn't need to feel better from cheating you. It is true, sometimes people go through a difficult time in their life and do bad things to others and just need some help to get over it.

Krystan is right!
You will never see the money again, but keep an eye on your charges from now on. She sounds very dishonest and now that she has your credit card information, what would stop her from making more charges?
Watch her carefully!

Cut ties with your stepmom and don't give her any more access to your card. Small claims will probably cost you more than its worth.
