I want one with reasonable interest charges - I currently have a loan with Welcome Finance for £2000 - they charged me £1500 interest!!

Really want to get rid of this loan, as well as other debts.

I appreciate it's difficult for you to understand, however if your Credit Rating is bad, every Loan you will get will cost you MORE than the last one ...

Welcome Finance is a 'bottom feeder' = they take on people who are one step away from Bankruptcy ... and then reduce those people to abject poverty.

The LAST thing you need is another Loan ... whist you continue to believe your problems can be solved with another loan your situation will never improve...

The BEST way to eliminate Debt is to PAY it BACK...

Change your lifestyle .. stop spending on anything other than basic food/water/house....

The next best way is an IVA....

A loan is a loan: 1500£ is an average for a 2000£ loan.

Your bank may help you at a better rate, but they'll ask for a co-signer or some assets to secure the loan.

Good luck !

Today the lenders have started offering nearly all varieties of loans for people with poor credit record. They are also introducing many new loan products meant for this group. Now people with poor credit can get the same choices as those with the good or mediocre credit. Today you can use bad credit personal loans for many purposes like car purchase, vacation or even debt consolidation.

Don't answer any of the responses that have emails attached promising you a loan by email...they are all scams. They pray on these sites and answer every financial question involving a loan, non are legit. Do a search on bad credit loans on the computer, see what it brings up. You don't get caught up in a scam that way.

Try this place

http://consolidateuk.com as they offer debt help including debt management and IVAs, although you couldn't get an IVA with the amount of debt you're talking about asit needs to really be about 10k+.

Your best option is probably a debt management plan. This can be sorted out in a number of ways, you can contact your creditors yourself, or you could use the link I posted above. I agree that another loan isn't the answer

The CAB will be able to help too

Is there any way you can cut expenses? Move into a smaller place, or even move back home? Can you make some more money? Get a part time job, or sell some stuff? This is the only way you will get rid of your loans -- either by making your current income stretch further, or by making more money.

It's not easy, but it's the only way. Good luck.

Bad credit = high interest rates. Get your credit rating up and you'll be able to find and qualify for a better interest rate loan.
