There are many websites which offer training in your area of interest. My suggestion, however, is ask firefighters themselves. Make an appointment and visit them. I am sure they will only be too glad to help you. You will also get first hand and professional advice when you check those websites. I hope this helps.
Peace and blessings!

Ignore the person who said that women can't be firefighters. That might have been true 30 years ago, but isn't now. Most firefighters are men, but not all.
Apply to the fire department in your city. There will be a variety of tests that you have to pass, including but not limited to physical tests. If you pass these, your name will go on a list from which hirees are selected.
If you live in an area with a volunteer fire department, talk to them about joining.

Cities regulate many fire halls in their areas where staffing is concerned. City hall will be able to give you contact information if they do not looking after hiring in your area.
In the city that I grew up in, they had female firefighters well over a decade ago already. They just expect everyone to be really fit so working out at the gym and being able to lift heavy weights is a good thing. If you can handle "sauna like temperatures" while working out, try to do that. I knew a guy that was quite strong but when he had to wear all the extra clothes in summer heat along with a "fake fire" in progress making it even hotter, he failed his test because he did not have the stamina to help pull in and move over the heavy water hose.

The best way to get started is check with your local FD in your state. Different states and cities do things differently. But, if you live here in FL, I can tell you how it goes.
The state of FL regulates the training of firefighters through the State Fire Marshal's Office, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. You must attend a fire academy, there are several across the state associated with community colleges and universities, or attend the fire college located in Ocala. Before or after you attend the academy, you'll need to get your EMT at a minimum. Most FL FDs won't hire without EMT. After that , you can apply at any FD in FL. Some other states even accept FL certification.
You can also join a VFD, but in FL you'll be required to achieve a FF1 level before you can enter the "hot zone". One important thing though, you must be 18 years of age to begin FF training for a paid position and have a HS diploma or GED.
Best of luck to you!

i never knew women can be firefighters. i never saw or heard of a woman firefighter. it's a man's job it's a dirty job is a job where you have to react in a split second and think of saving someones life even if yours is in danger. it's not for women because you don't want to ruin your nails, hair and make up LOL. for women it's like bootcamp because you have NO idea how heavy the material that they carry everyday is. the firefighter helmet is alone about 10 pounds the protective gear is like 30 pounds plus you will be walking through fires in INTENSE heat. listen girl why don't you stick to going to the mall and maybe something like that don't go into a man's job and screw it up because you broke a nail and kept thinking "omg i just got my nails done, look at them now" while you're thinking there is a 3 year old dying in the fire.
