OK, I went to an interview (for a receptionist at a law firm) last Thursday. My interviewer (women) told me she would get back to me Tuesday or Wednesday to let me know if I was going to get a second interview (or hire me). I think my interview went really well and she loved my questions @ the end.
She did not call/email today.
.
Should I go up there tomorrow (being pursistent) to ask if the position was taken or something of that sort. I am getting 50/50 answers & I need someones opinion.
.
Thank you!

Some people say I should wait to see if they call me before I go up there. Some say I should go up there in case they choose someone else to show them I was pursistant & aggressive & make them change their minds.

You need to remember it was a holiday weekend and things are a bit backed up. I would certainly call her by Thursday afternoon if you do not hear from her tomorrow (do not go in person.) Persistence is great, but at the same time after a long interview process hiring managers (interviewers) are certainly not in a mood (if ever) for unexpected guests. Call Thursday mid afternoon. Good luck!

Hi
As today is Tuesday, She told you that she will get back to you either on Tuesday or Wednesday, so you wait till thruday, then give a call on Friday.
As they must be busy with some other work u should give them some time. If you think you have done good in interview and wait you will get the call.
Give a call on Friday(saying that you want to know the outcome of the interview and if they say that they will get back to you in another couple day then go for another interview at some other place). They must have found some one more suitable than you.
Enjoy..

If she said she would call today or tomorrow, give her one more day. If she still hasn't called by the 3rd day, then call back and let them know you're still interested in the position and would like to know if there are any questions or concerns they may have about your qualifications. Use the opportunity to restate your qualifications. Also, if you haven't done it, send a thank you note to the interviewer ASAP which highlights and restates your qualifications and interest. This will definitely set you apart from the other candidates because in my 5 years of hiring people, no body has ever sent me a thank you note and it's very rare.

Let me ask you this: do they shoot you if you call back? Then why not call back? It's a good idea to call back within a few days to show you're genuinely interested in THAT job and not just "making the rounds" to take any old job. Of course, you can still make the rounds, but make your prospective employer know you're there. When someone is making that final decision and they remember somebody called back, they may decide that's the type of determination they want. Good luck!

I wouldn't go there but wait till just before lunch and give them a call. You might want to tell them you are just heading out (to another interview?) and didn't want to miss the call because you think the Law Firm would be a great place to work. Never hurts to butter them up a bit and play on the egos.
Hope this helps.

No. Today is Tuesday. She said Tuesday OR Wednesday. Wait until Thursday to go because you don't want to seem pushy or desperate.

I agree with the first post. Wait until late Wednesday, then give her a call. Please do not go back to their office. You will scare them! A phone call will suffice. Just out of curiousity, did you send her a thank you email?
