As seller you must pay a fee:

To list the item, depending on the value your start price will be.

On how many pictures you intend to use on the auction description.

On whatever particular tailor-made selling-package you decide to use.

And finaly if you receive a Pay-Pal payment for your ebay item, Pay-Pal (which is owned by E-bay) will take a percentage of the payment made to you.

Yes. There is a small fee for the posting. And, there are "ups", so if you want a bunch of pictures or listing in more than one category or bold fact print or such they will charge more. The basic, no frills, single picture listing is really cheap.

Yes, they take a cut of your selling price. They also try to sell you upgraded ways of posting your item, but you don't have to buy them.
