I owe about $12,000 in credit card debt and I wanted to make that my year's goal to pay it off, but a lot of the websites I find require that you own a home, or charge a huge interest for someone to "negotiate" with your creditors to bring down interest. Does anyone know of a good resource where I can just consolidate the debt and make one reasonable payment?

In businesses building and selling databases (such as D&B, Acxiom, Experian, infoUSA or Bisnode) what's an average benchmark cost of creating the data, as a percent of revenue? For B2B trade publishers, a recent study said editorial expense is 16% of revenue. What's the comparabale % for database businesses?? Thanks!

I want to invest in "an individual deferred combination variable and fixed annuity" from the company ING USA. I'm thinking of putting $80,000 in it with no plans to touch it. I want to leave it to my three kids. I'm 59 years old and in good health. I would still be in very good financial shape without the $80,000.

My fiance and I are wanting to get a home loan and here's our scenario. She's making about $300 every two weeks, which translates roughly into 600 a month. I was just recently unjustly discharged from my job and I'm currently getting unemployment and I'm getting about 580 a month and I'm looking for a job. We're currently renting a townhouse for $530 a month, so we can easily afford a home loan with a monthly payment under 600 dollars a month. But I doubt the banks really look at that, they usually just look at debt ratio and credit score. But my question is, Are we going to be able to get a home loan? We're going to the bank on Friday to see how much we can get pre-approved for, but before going I just want to see if that will be a waste of time, how much do the people in the Yahoo! Answers community think we'll be able to get approved for.
I should also mention that we both have fairly decent credit, we don't really have anything bad on our reports.

My husband is being sued by a bank (the evil people) for a jet ski that was repossessed last year. The problem is we are living in a shelter where we pay a subsidized amount a month, we have three kids and haven't been able to come up with the $100.00 to start the bankruptcy process because of rent and other bills. They are wanting to take most of his check leaving us to 25% of it. When he went to court, they failed to tell him or give him the option of what to take out in the paychecks....not sure if they can do that or not...anyone who can give us some advice it would be much appreciated...thanks for taking the time to read. I might add, the jet ski was purchased before I met my husband.

Do you do anything to "get back at" your boss for being insensitive or for taking you for granted. When mine gets especially aggravating, I go take a walk at the park near the office . One of my co-workers has a small liquor cabinet hidden on the premises and she makes mini martinis for everyone. Another co-worker sneaks off to the storage room and gives herself manicures. Another takes the afternoon off, says she's going to "work at home", but she actually goes to the movies.

Recently I have been receiving letters from a credit agency regarding a previous dental visit that I had in which the insurance didn't cover all of the costs. In the most recent letter they said that they were going to recommend litagation if the total amount wasn't payed in 15 days. Is this just an attempt to scare me or is it legit?
