i am 15, i am starting to think of what i want to do in life... ive always loved and cared for animals. i really want to become a veternarian. how many years of college do you have to take? what kind of grades do you have to have in high school? i get mostly b's and some c's. are there any other jobs that are close to being a vet but dont have to get really good grades? what classes should i be taking here in high school and what is required to be accepted in a veternarian college? last year i took an animal science class. if anyone can give me any ideas about becoming a veternarian i would greatly appreciate it!

I am not a veterinarian, but I have friends who are. The field is extremely demanding. Take four years of math and four years of science in high school. You will need a college degree, most likely in a health or science related field such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry or something similar. Then you will need to go to veterinary school.

Good luck.

try and take ap biology and deffinatly ap calculus. you dont want to have calculus in college, its a lot harder. It doesnt matter where you go to college, most good prevet schools dont require great grades to get in. I went to tennessee. You do however have to have about a 3.2 gpa in college just to get an interview for vet school. Vet school is one of the hardes graduate schools to get into. Good luck!
