I am in LA.
I have a house that has a tenant whose lease is up. She has paid every month no problem. Since she moved in she has two roommates who help her with the rent, neither who have signed on the lease. My question is if I sell the house what legal problems might I have from these people who have not signed a lease with me. I am getting mixed messages from people. Someone told me that if the original person leaves the new roomates can stay and get the utilities in their names and squat ...

I was in the process of purchasing a condo and the seller keeps changing my closing date. The closing date has changed three times now, and only one time had it been approved by me. I have had to extend my lease two times and now I am considering not buying and was wondering whether he can be liable for the extended stay expenses. I now have to find a new place since the landlord had already promised my place. The place I was going to purchase was supposed to have been finished mid Dec and it is still not available. The realtor works for the same company that is representing the seller so she is not trying to help out at all. Is there anything I can do to hold the seller liable.

I have been working in production for the past five years, but I am almost done with my degree in administration. This job is at a school, and I really want it. I think my resume is really well thought out, but I know I have no office experience. They asked to please not call, so how can I get an interview? Please help me.

I've been jumping through hoops regarding one particular job opportunity for about four months now. I've taken all kinds of basic tests, psychological tests, clerical tests, skills tests, interviews.. and I made it all the way through the last stage. All I'm waiting on now is the yes or no.

I called each time (or sent letters) thanking the HR dept for their time and assistance. I then waited two weeks after my last "hoop" to call about the decision status. Those two weeks were over the Christmas and New Years holidays, so I didn't expect much. I was asked to call back two weeks later.

So I did, and the same lady I've been dealing with the whole time was kind and professional and said "we still don't know, can I call you back later today?" Of course, I said yes. This was last Friday, and she still hasn't called.

Would it be okay for me to call back one last time, "Sorry to be a pest, but I'm really excited about this opportunity?" How should I word the last call? Hints?

Thank you.

My mom setup a UGMA account a long time ago. She only put in $500 into it and today it's worth $2300. Actually its been fluctuating the past three years. At the end of one year, it was worth $2200. The following year, $1900, and the end of last year $2300. I'm now 24 years old and I'm entitled to use the funds for any purpose. I'm not sure how taxes work in UGMA accounts. I think you pay taxes on it every year on any earnings. I don't think they grow tax-deferred. Is my information correct?

If I withdraw funds from it, will I pay any income taxes on it?

How long does it normally take for the bill to show up on your online statement? For example, you purchase an item on credit, will it show that on ur statement immediately or does it take time?

I want to invest my money and instead of it sitting in my account accruing interest, I want to have access to the interest that I am making off my money. Is there such a thing? I can't touch my 401 K or my IRA and I have a savings account that pays 5%. But is there anything out there aside from stocks (buying low and selling high) that would allow me to generate a little money on a monthly basis?
