I am an independent contractor paying all the applicable taxes including self-employment tax. If I make $4,000 and contribute the entire $4,000 to my 401-K, would I owe any taxes?

If i'm putting away $333.33 a month (for an annual total of $4,000), but I have the occasional dividend income reinvestment for my roth IRA, do I have to decrease my year-end contribution to compensate for this extra reinvestment?? Thanx!

Came across this website sounds a little too good to be true but sometimes money can get you out of things and it give you the price list and you can tell them what you want deleted off your credit report. Wondering if anyone has has used this website and how it worked for them. I am willing to pay a couple thousand to wipe what I need off my credit report and to have a chance to start over with a good score if it works.

I have a good work history--4 years hear, 4 years there--but I am switching careers.

I accepted a good job in my new field (journalism) that I start today. I have to move for it.

But there is a good possibilty that I will be offered an entry-level job that will lead me to the position I really want to be in.

So--I move and a few weeks later I will have to come back. I am stressed, but is it better for me to take the job that will get me the career I want.

after moving from PA to NJ i noticed on my pay check that the PA state tax were still being taken out, as well as the NJ taxes. what form. after my HR finally for a chance to call them they changed it to NJ only, but what about that Money that they owe me from PA? What form will I need? I also moved to SC, and the same thing happened there.

I feel realy stupid asking this, but here goes.....how does one go about rolling over their 401k from the old company "a" to current employer company "b"?

Isn't there also some sort of thing that must be done to avoid payint taxes and penalties? HELP!

How can I win, or earn money online by participating? But with this no purchase is needed? I just want to participate and win without any "gold offers" included. I mean, anytime I enter a site that says win for cash, but for this I must firstly to subscribe to something or choose some of "golden offers". So, where I can win just participating? worked for a company for 10+ yrs and assistant to the president of the company. After his one year aniversary of soberity, the disarray in business applications is causing my job to become varied in job description. I'm not getting much help or answers. You can't say anything about it, but it's not helping #1 for the work environment when 75% of my day is calming those who don't understand the scattered thoughts from him and the other 25% trying to resolve issues on my own, hoping I've made the right choices because I can't get answers. She disapears and takes many "mental health" days and works after hours so there is no human contact and thoughts can be clearer. Should I stick with it, move on, say something or just keeping on doing what I need to do to keep the business a float on my end? How do I know this???? The wife of a recovered alcoholic (I know everyone has a different experience), but it's like living with my husband after his first year. I LOVE my job, but need my sanity

I had a furniture reupholstering business about nine years ago. I closed it down for health reasons. Since then I have bought a commercial building that does have space for my business if I kick out one of the tenants. Problem is economy is not good, and my personal finances are very tight. Right now I am just making ends meet, while I work at a dead end job that pays only minimum wage.
