I have a good work history--4 years hear, 4 years there--but I am switching careers.

I accepted a good job in my new field (journalism) that I start today. I have to move for it.

But there is a good possibilty that I will be offered an entry-level job that will lead me to the position I really want to be in.

So--I move and a few weeks later I will have to come back. I am stressed, but is it better for me to take the job that will get me the career I want.

I would say so. You will do best in a job you like and are happy with. In the meantime work at your new job. Most employers understand someone taking a job that will further them in life. Don't stress, just take a deep breath, count to 10 and let it out. You will be fine.

Never give a company any loyalty. Ever. If something comes along that will benefit you, jump immediatley. I can assure you, the company that you work for will give you the same courtesy if they want to fatten their bottom line.
