OK I am in the UK, finalist at Uni hoping to go on and join the forces (probably Navy) after graduation. HOWEVER, I want something to fall back on when I come out of the forces, in say 6-8 years, and teaching would be ideal.

This said, I've already missed the deadline for teacher training courses starting Sept 07, and would therefore have to wait until Sept 08, giving me a year of nothing after graduation, then a year of teacher training, then my Naval service. I want to get my teaching qualification before I join up to save time when I am discharged, but have been told you cannot study for the PGCE whilst serving in forces.

SO, I either go straight in to the forces after graduation and do a year's teacher training when I come out (taking a year out of employment).

OR I graduate, take a gap year, do a years teacher training, THEN join up, which seems like a long-winded route, and become a teacher after 6-8 years service.

Do you have any advice? Thanks!

I have lived in my flat for 9 months now. I receive and pay my gas bill regularly but I have never received a water bill or an electricity bill. I have phoned many companies several times and think I have found the companies who supply me but they say they do not supply me. Shall I give up trying to get the bills? as far as deductions Jackson Hewitt claims to get you the most possible money so why should i continue to go to my own accountant. i do have kids and own a home but would that make any difference with who does my taxes? im just curious because i wonder why people choose one or the other?

While the company I was working for closed I was offered a job on the other side of the state by some people that came through for the auction. I am not really interested in the job or moving in state, but I am wondering how I go about keeping the job available if I can't find something else in the next 2 months? Do I write a letter with my resume or just a letter stating what my intentions are? Or do I write a letter telling them I am not interested at this time?

The possiblity of redundancy might be looming on the horizon for me. It is either that or a new contract which is rubbish- the terms and conditions are horrible. I have worked for the company I am with for a year. The redundancy operates on a ' month for ever year of service'. Do I take the redundancy or accept an inferiro contract. I kinda think the time could be better spent applying for jobs. What do you think?

because his place of living was not available he stayed with me and i took care of him, he also receives a disability check of 600.00 a month. but i handle all his business making sure that his money goes to the right places for his well being and when he don't have any left i take out my money and sustain him the rest of the way. can i claim him on my taxes.

I have order some goods from a wholesale company. I paid £35 for delivery, I asked them to leave the order in the garden.
I wasn't there when they tried to deliver and they said they need a signature (it doesnt say in their terms and conditions that i have to be there ), now they say that i have to collect the goods ( i cant it's too bulky) or i need to pay £35 for a redelivery.
If i cancel the order they will keep £35 plus £45 for the goods to be returned to them. Can they do that? it doesnt say that in their terms and conditions. so one way or the other i am loosing all my money. and i dont want to pay £70 to get the goods!!! please help.

I FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION AT CHEVRON GAS COMPANY AND A LADY CALLED ME AND TOLD ME TO BRING TWO COPIES OF MY ID AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. WHEN I GOT THERE I GAVE HER MY ID AND SOCIAL SECURITY AND SHE CALLED HER BOSS AND THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO TRAIN FOR FOUR HOURS SO I COULD LEARN THERE COMPUTER SYSTEM BECAUSE I HAVE ALOT OF EXPERIENCE ALREADY. THAT MY HOURS WERE FRI,SAT,SUN FROM 1PM TO 9PM AND MON AND TUES GRAVEYARD FROM 9PM TO 6AM IN THE MORNING. SO SHE TOLD ME TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY AROUND 1PM FOR TRAINING. I DID AND WHEN I GOT THERE SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY NEEDED A COPY OF MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND I TOLD HER NO THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT THE SURPERVISOR WILL CALL ME TOMORROW AND IF SHE DONT THEN SHE WOULD AND I LEFT

Where does your money go when it is drawn out of your bank to pay a balance transfer, I paid an amount out of my bank on Monday 22nd Jan07 but it has not showed on my credit card account after three days It shows been taken out on monday 22nd Jan 07 but does not show on my c/c/account.
Please can some body tell me where the money goes till it gets paid. Your Tammy51.
