I just turned 18 a month ago and in April my father is going to buy me my first car. I want to build up good credit so I can use it to buy my car and my father will give me the money to make the payments every month so I can build my credit with something MAJOR. Is this a good idea? I really want a PERFECT credit score, how can I achieve this?

As we all know the bid-ask spread is the way the specialists and money makers make thier money. For example, a heavily traded stock with a volume of 100 mln per day and bid-ask spread of a penny can fetch $1 mln per day -- not a bad daily wage as compared with average of $100 per day for ordinary mortals. (QQQQ has such a volume and MSFT, INTC,CSCO or AAPL ocasionally can reach a 100 mln shares per day too)
Stocks that are not that liquid can have much wider bid-ask spread to compensate for the 'loss'
My question is, given large enough volume to keep the spread equal to 1 penny (assuming you can not place a limit order with accuracy higher than a penny as is in most cases) would you prefer to trade a $20 stock or a $80 one? Don't you think that trading the first one is much more "expensive"?

The co-signer wants the car, which I'm fine with since I can't afford it anymore, but how can I get my name off of the loan and off of the title? does he have to refinance it to get my name off of it? Thanks =)

I have $5000 in credit card debt at 13% interest (the credit card is closed so I cannot ever charge more on it). I also have $5000 in savings. I have a steady job that provides me, after expenses, roughly $500 a month to save.

Should I payoff my debt, be at a zero balance in the bank, and work from there? I am afraid that the moment I do, expenses will come up - medical, car repairs, etc.

I like the "security" that having the savings provides. It makes me feel better knowing in case something happens, I am covered - because I do not have the best of credit so I could not "charge" any unforseen expenses. But I also do not like paying 50 bucks a month to Discover card when that money could be used to save.

Any suggestions?

My case won at the District Justice's office, and I'm looking into collection agencies to collect the $1700.00 I am owed. Looking online, I can't tell which are legitimate or may be a scam. I'm also looking, obviously, to get the most amount of money back.
Has anyone been in this situation? I need the name of a decent agency.

Thanks.

ok we both are in our 30s and soon to be married.i make about 50k and he makes about 80k.the problem is he has a huge debt from his divorce(28k)and a large child support payment to his exwife.between these 2 things he can hardly make his share(half of our bills) of the rent/house bills with is total $900 a mon.if we bought a house our mortgage alone would be about $1100 each than tack on food, electric, cable ect.his child support is not going away but i feel he should pay off his debt 1st before we get into a house.he feels we are just throwing money away renting and need to buy a house soon as possible as a house would give us a huge tax brake.if we buy a house now i would have to pay all the closing costs, down payment as my bf has no money put away.i don't mind that part i'm just afraid after i do that we would have a problem making the monthly payments and would lose the house.is this worth the great tax break my bf talked about or would u wait till he had more money put away?

I was wondering if it was known how much traffic a commercial website must have (per-day, per-month, etc) for companies to become interested in advertising on that website. For example, let's say a small start-up company created and ran a website for its business, what would it take for advertisers to want to advertise on that website? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not a flashy person, but after 15 years in Sales, I'm noticing that people do judge you from your Image. It's time to put my domestic to rest, but I'm having a hard time picking a good vehicle with price and reliability. I'm looking for any suggestions. I like the Lexus but at $55,000 minumum, it doesn't make much sense for tax deduction up here in Canada. Some help Pleassse.
