Recently someone was telling me that you can still file and claim your child on your taxes even if you haven't earned any income. I never heard anything like that before and I was just wondering if anybody else had.

back in to get the year end total of the IRA before applying the proper factor to determine the RMD? e.g.: Beginning of year:$200,000, monthly w/ds of $500. $10,000 growth during year. Yr end total $210,000. Is the factor applied against: $200,000, $210,000, or $216,000? Is the proper factor the one for that age on Dec. 31 of that same year?

hubby and i currently living with my parents due to his job relocation, I have thirteen thousand total on two credit cards with very low APR's (some from hubby being laid off and not finding work for three months). Living with my familiy is driving him nuts (my parents are very high strung and he's from the south) but i'd like to stick around for a few months to pay it down. His opinion is: since it doesn't cost us hardly anything we might as well take our sweet old time paying it off. My opinion: I'm feeling like it can't be good for my credit score espec. because we are planning on buying a house sometime in the next few years. Also, when he graduates in three years we're going to have a LOT of student loan debt... $70,000? thanks for any and all advice!!!

Unsure about our protection and the life of the item, we sometimes admit the need for an extended warranty. We tell ourselves, “if something goes wrong, at least we are covered”…but are we?

Could somebody who really understands the relationship between these two could explain to me in really simple way who is the one who prints the money? Where do they borrow it from?

Is the Bank of England or the Federal Reserve the government?

Who does the treasury borrow "money" from to print more money?

I dont understand this. They are asking permission to print more of their own money from the central bank? How does the Federal Reserve or the Bank of England control the treasury? thanks.

Hello everyone,

I have a second interview coming up which I am told is with the IT Manager (again) and this time with a lady from HR. I have never had a second interview before as I have normally got the job on the first interview. Does anyone know what HR will be going to ask me and what they are looking for?

Any advice given will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I want your opinion on something.

I am currently saving for a $6000 camera, I am 14 & working part-time.

The reason I want such an expensive video camera is so that it will produce professional video so I can re-sell individual clips as stock footage on the internet.

If you don't really get what I mean here are a few websites doing the same thing...

http://www.gothidef.com/
http://www.gotfootagehd.com/gf/store/node/home

So do you think I can make money selling a few clips in a pack on the internet on a website that I would make up.

I think I would only be selling to Australians as I will be filming in PAL format.

So I want other peoples opinions that know a little more about business than I do.

I have been interested in filming for 6 years now..

Please help me out as I want to know if this is just a waste of money me saving for.

thanks,
jarhead992

I gave someone a post-dated cheque which was dated 2/2/07 and have just been to my bank to request them to stop it and was told that it had already been cashed on 17/1/07!!

Is the right? I thought a post dated cheque could not be banked until the date written on the cheque. I have now lost over £300 because of a banking error.

Is there any way I can get the bank to pay my money back?
