If you have knowledge, experience etc., money is NOT necessary. Property agent, insurance advisors, representatives etc. work and earn without investment. You can book business for any 1 or for me and you can earn.

If you've no investment, you're going to find it pretty hard to make money with someone else as your boss, unless you both totally trust each other.
Find a silent-partner and have them invest money, by promising a return on that money within a year or two (depending on your business).
Myself and four friends did this, where we each contributed $5000 to the new business. 3 of them are silent partners, where basically they don't get much say in how the business works. They are happy as long as they see a profit.

You mentioned 2 out of the only 4 ways to make money.
Job - check.
Investing - check.
Business - that's the third option.
Intellectual property (art/books/music/poetry/South Park cartoons or something similar - you get the idea) - that's the fourth option.
