QuickBooks Pro has the payroll function and is a complete accounting software. You should hire someone to set it up for you and show you how to use it. Once everything is in there correctly it will help you keep track of things, invoice people, track your time, etc. It is not free but not paying the right taxes when running a business can be very costly so it is worth the money.

you can get a lot of programs to do basics free, but what you need is not going to be free. and it will have to be upgraded every year. you need to msit down and make an exact list of what you want. then start looking...
a good place to go is to zdnet and type in accounting or booking , it will pullup all they have .. once you have it up , go to top and look for the box where you can change from all to the free ones. and bam you got it...
once you have figured the cost of what you want, include your labor in the cost, printing, paper, ink, printer ,, a good one,,computer , forms , etc. then you take all the cost and divide by 52,, and that will give you your weekly cost,,
then you go to a pro in this area and get their cost to do it dor you,,, i used adp payroll service. my cost to them was $16.84 per week. and i mean they do it all.. there in additional charges for quartly and year end and w2's... they will call you and get yor payroll for the day you want it. and the checks are delivered by 11 am... i am not pushing this company over any one else.. lot of goods one out there ,,, but i checked with 6 companies,,, none could compare. you also want a company ,, that if you have a problem, you can get a live person on the phone that speaks english,,, and adp does all this...
in todays market ,, when you start hire other people , check with your local goverment to see if you qualtify for a tax break... a lot do today,, like hire the handciap,, a veteran, hard to place workers.. there is a lot out there
good luck to you
