While the company I was working for closed I was offered a job on the other side of the state by some people that came through for the auction. I am not really interested in the job or moving in state, but I am wondering how I go about keeping the job available if I can't find something else in the next 2 months? Do I write a letter with my resume or just a letter stating what my intentions are? Or do I write a letter telling them I am not interested at this time?

You're going to have to decide. This employer has a date already in mind for when this position has to be filled. If you can't or won't fill that need, he/she will find someone who will.
I would say that since thie alternative is unemployment, you ought to go for it.

If you are not interested, just forget about it. I very seriously doubt a prospective employer will keep a job open for two months. Just do what your heart tells you.

If you are not interested, you just let it go.....you have to enjoy and like the work you do.......
