ok, my situation is that I have a huge amount of credit card debt and a few other loans. I am not a "big spender" and financially responsible but a few "curve-balls" that life has thrown me has left me in a hole I don't know if I can climb out.

What I am hoping to do is either do a debt consolidation loan or maybe 2nd mortage. I own a home but other family members stay there and I was hoping to one day own one for myself.

So I guess my question is what are some of the pros and cons of debt consolidation. What would I do or need to do to take out a home equity loan?

I have heard that it's good to invest in both the 401K and an IRA. Right now I have the 401K down but need some advise regarding a Roth or Traditional IRA. I'm not exactly sure which would be better to invest in. I would be doing a joint investment with my husband. What are the differences between the two? Any impute would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not saying it does - But if my business made 2.5 million profit a year on 3 million turnover. The business has little assets and not much of a brand name. Around how much would it be worth if I sold it?

I signed (using a digital pen) for a parcel today which I thought was one thing but was entirely another - a cutlery set. I don't know who the courier was and who sent it - the only clues on the label are 'MMC 3476311', SUPER 48, 616HITC32C. MSW0286448, a long barcode and my name and address with postcode. with a ref. 265306. this happen to you before and what happened next? thanks

I have been seeing allot of John Beck infomercials lately on, how to buy real estate "free and clear" through tax lien certificates. It has caught my attention. How easy is it to buy real estate this way? There is obvously a catch, otherwise everyone would be doing it.

I paid for towing services last week with a credit card. The towing company accidentally charged me $10.00 instead of $100.00 (The receipt shows that the cashier keyed $10.00). Days later, the company charged my credit card the additional $90.00.

Is the towing company within its rights to charge my card again without my permission? It was their mistake.

I paid for online advertising at scoot.co.uk on October 2006. Since I have not been satisfied with my purchase, I requested a cancellation and a refund, which they have refused, since it is part of their terms and conditions, allegedly, something which surprisingly they had not mentioned when they sold the product. I have not received a copy of these terms and conditions either.

Anything I can do?

Hi my name's Elaine, & I've asked questions on here before, however nothing like this. Here's my situation. I have a family of 5. My husband our children ages 8,4,2, & me. Over the past 6 months we've been having family dificulties & it's starting to effect our lives to the point that we're falling further & further into dept. We're now to the point that we will be out on the street if I don't come up with the money due. I work 2 jobs, my husband is working, but it's not cutting it. This is not a sympathy plea, it's a extened hand for help to any one who has any ideas on what else we could do. As a parent I feel like I've let my family down cause I can't keep a roof over their heads. It's never been like this, but I've had to miss a lot of work due to illnesses. The extened family support just isn't there, & the banks will not loan us money. Our options are fading & fast. I'm scared of what will happen tomorrow. Any ideas? Heres my email if you want to talk

Okay I had a job interview on Friday the 12th of January. She said that she would be calling people starting on Tuesday the 16th.
