It is certainly easy. Ebay charges a variety of fees for a variety of things, but they are very up front about the charges, so no surprises.

Is used to be really fun a few years ago, but now I find it clogged with businesses selling crap -- cds on how to make money on ebay, new stuff that is available in stores for the same price -- it is harder to sift through to find the gems.

Now I only sell the occasional unique item I come across at a yard sale, or some great toy my kids have outgrown. It's not so much of a bargain anymore.

In college I ran a side business where I sold all of my used clothes that I wore once or twice.(I'm quite the shopper) I'd say it was highly successful. Depending on the closing price is the cost that Ebay is going to charge you. It's not horrible to get something posted and sold. I think these days it costs 35 cents to post a listing, and then you get 1 or 2 photos free.

It can be a lot of fun watching your bids go up daily.

Registering and everything is not hard at all, I would also suggest setting up at Paypal account as well. Then you have the ease of having people sending their payments directly to you, and then you can transfer the funds into your bank account. Definitely easier than sending a money order.

Overall, I'd say eBay is a piece of cake, and they have a lot of help forums if you need assistance.

Good Luck!

I sell on eBay all the time.. I was cautious to start off with, but they are making it easier than ever to list and sell stuff.. I have been using it for 6 years...
The fees are all listed on ebay.. so you can check it out before you go any further.. for example.. to list a $20 item... Listing fees, final value fees are about $2.
go slow... list a few things, see how it goes.. Avoid taking personal checks.... Take advantage of PayPal, payment system.. you'll get more buyers that way...
Easy to register....

Yes, several times. Easy to register, just follow instructions. The amount you pay is based on the selling price. I sold an airplane on eBay and was very satisfied. Good Luck!!
