up on the irs refund website. I call them but they said they have not started it yet and I may not get it this week. I filed on the 16th it was accepted on the 17th im suppose to have my refund on the 26th has anyone had this issue? how long does it take for the irs to process the refund?

You have to make allowances for their workload. Consider too what a paper bound archaic system of taxation we're working with...its a miracle as much gets done as it does. Keep hope, the 26th is yet to come.

They are actually really quick. You might go back tomorrow and find that your return has been processed and the refund will be due to you on the 26th.

Don't worry. Be patient, you'll get it. Hopefully you're not depending on the check for anything. Turbotax e-filing will allow you to get your return MUCH faster than the traditional way, but just give it a few days. If you don't have it in 2-3 weeks, maybe start to ask a few questions.

turbo tax is pretty good,if they say the 26th it will be there the 26th..the irs might not be updating the system quickly now,and i know if you call the 800# for info they aren't updating that either,....just relax and it will be there

Give them time. If they say it will be there the 26th, wait til the 26th to complain and worry.
