Even though only one other person in my department had their hours cut. Everybody else in the same position got more hours or kept there schedulule at 80 hours for the two week period. Some of the employees who got more hours, where younger and have less experience then I do. I would appreciate comments on this.

ex claimed $1,416 in medical deductions on 2005 taxes. i reimbursed ex for this amount in february 2006. how is the rectified with the irs? should i inform them that i made the reimbursement? will they include it as income for ex's 2006 taxes?

In China, there're quite some real time stock softwares. Basically they're the same thing. Offer real time quotes, info, charts, VERY detailed technichal analysis.... People can browse,anaylysis and trade with this software.... Is there such a software in America?

I'm a Chinese and would like to get familiar with American stock market from now on. So if there's such a software it'd be of great importance to me. Any stock guru can guide me through this???and how do Americans do stock investment? Do you have a broker do it for you or you do it yourself?

In China we just go open an accountant in a securities company and then trade via the company's system, which get us directly connected to SSE(Shanghai Stock Exchange) or SZSE(Shenzhen Stock Exchange), so in China most investors do the investment all by themselves, There're stock brokers too but they mainly work for companies , not individuals. Unless the individual has REALLY big fund.

I really need my tax refund ASAP. I have a simple return, and the only item I lack is the 1099-G form from my state (NC) that shows some unemployment insurance benefits I received last year. That state office reports that they won't have these forms out to recipients or available on their website until January 31st. Reporting this income made absolutely no difference when I did my 1040 online, because my total income for last year was so low, and I'm a single mom, head of household. I know the amount I received in benefits, and that I paid no taxes on it, but the 1040 asks for other identifying info and numbers that I don't have. Can I just leave the UIB off the return, or put it somewhere else on the 1040?

We have a baby that is disabled my wife has'nt been able to work since her diagnosis. Our baby has a life threatening illness called mitochondria www.mckenziecarey.com my wife stays home with her. Which we are trying to start a business at home to account for my wife staying home to care for our baby. We started putting stuff on ebay but no one is bidding on it could we be doing something wrong. Does anyone have success on ebay that could help out give us some helpful hints on what do do. We are also working on SMC flea markets fairs has anyone have any experience on these areas as well to help some tip to be successful. Also does anyone have any other ways to supplement a income that has been lost in our time of need, we will appreciatte any serious inquires please don't respond if you don't have any helpful hint or success stories. Anyone knows of a site or a tool that would allow me to see the top 50 (or more) most actively traded stocks for a day with a given price range? Yahoo does something imiliar on their finance home site but it doesn't allow a price range nore can you get more than top 15 or so stocks. It just lets you see most actives regardless of the price.

When I started with my company 18 months ago, they added language in the offer letter that said I would pay back all relocation costs (approx. $18k) if I left before July 2008. I may have signed it, but I'm not sure, but it was in the offer letter that I accepted. This place is dying and I want to get out of here. Can they actually sue me for this money if I leave whether I signed or not?

...will I need any special skills, or training? I mean, over the years I've learnt how to accept being told to Ef-off by many people, so I must surely be considered as 'experienced'.

And as I have no friends already, I don't see anything getting worse there either.

I have been receiving Texas Unemployment benefits since October 2006. I just received my "last" check, which was pennies compared to what I usually receive. They said my benefits were exhausted for 2006, but I'm to continue my job search and recertification. (I was let go from a job I held for 1 year.) I'm very confused..will I receive more checks? I haven't received a letter of benefits termination (yet). They said my case is open till Sept. 07...any ideas?
