My landlord has had my house on the market for about 4 months. It started very slowly with a few showings, but has now increased to about one visit a week. We've had people meddling in our closets, and one man even looked in my personal chest of drawers (not attached to the house in any way). We always dread seeing the flashing light on the answering machine 24 hours before they'll show up. Is there any limit to how many times our house can be invaded?

I am doing my taxes online. I am using my last pay stub NOT my W2. I have ran into a roadblock. Box 20, "locality name" What is that? I looked it up and it gave me a brief description. I need an example. Do I put my state in that line? Do I put my city and state? I am lost.

Please give me an example NOT a description. I am not very good with this kind of stuff. That is all that I lack.

Thanks in advance.

Lately I've put a great deal of time & thought into my plans to be a nursing major. I guess I'm just curious to know which specific field has seemed to be the most rewarding for students once they moved on & graduated from nursing school & began to work. I'm thinking along the lines of oncology nursing, which I know would probably be very difficult & emotionally draining, but I think I may be able to make a difference there. I'd love to hear what anyone has to say... thanks so much!

To keep things confidential, we give all our projects (marketing research) code names. These names have nothing to do with either client or subject matter of the project. I pick a new theme every year - we've had flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables, and animals... but now I'm out of ideas for 2007! Who has an idea for a theme, which has about 30 possible names - which are relatively short & easy (I picked operas one year, and quickly found out that most opera names and long and hard to spell...)
Also - many of our projects are international, so things that are too "American" (i.e. baseball teams, etc.) won't work.
Thanks!!!

I was challenged with finding a solution to a specific problem for a prospective customer. They needed to apply a label to their product that would have bi-lingual instructions available for the consumer. They were currently using a printed and folded instruction sheet, manually placing it onto their product, then manually applying another label on top of that to hold it in place.

I spent a lot of time considering the problem, at the prospect's request, to find a viable solution. I came up with a pressure sensitive label that would solve thier problem. I created prototypes and supplied them to the prospect. This concept was well received.

Now I find out that they took my detailed designs and solutions and gave them to a competitior to quote. I priced this competitively.

Do I have IP protection here? Even though I haven't been paid to find this solution, it was implied that if I solved it, I would get the business?

Thanks

Just got quicken as I want to undertand where my money is going, I just want to understand the basics: is the point of reconciling simply to make sure that your bank isn't cheating you? it seems like a time consuming paranoid task, my bank provides a statement which clearly indicates all my transactions, what's the point of spending hours making sure that they've done it correctly? Or is there more to it?

I thought that UITF40 had been settled, and that all WIP, including sole proprietor's own hours, had to be included.
Than I came across the ICAEW advice published in August 2006.(Taxguide 8/06). Para (a) on p8 says sole proprietor WIP does not have to be included!
Are they just referring to overheads? If so it's badly worded.

How do you divide that over your working days? For example, I give 12 percent on Monday, 24 percent on Tuesday..

And how do you divide your working days? For example, I give 4 percent of that 12 percent on Monday in the first hour, 18 percent between 10 and 11.. And so on..

But I spend more time planning my time and working out how much to work and how it adds up, than I do work. Or so it seems. Do you of any efficient ways to do it?
