I am doing my taxes online. I am using my last pay stub NOT my W2. I have ran into a roadblock. Box 20, "locality name" What is that? I looked it up and it gave me a brief description. I need an example. Do I put my state in that line? Do I put my city and state? I am lost.

Please give me an example NOT a description. I am not very good with this kind of stuff. That is all that I lack.

Thanks in advance.

you should really wait untill you get your w2 in the mail (shouldn't be long anyway) and then file. I went to www.expresstaxrefund.com with my form and filed within 10 min of creating my account. Just make an account and call the tech support line, it's free.

If you don't have a local income, you probably don't have to worry about it.

Doing your taxes without the W2 can be a bit risky as sometimes the number are not the same.

Personally, I would wait.

some cities have taxes like New York City. Some counties do as well. if yours does not - ignore.
