My husband was offered a new job, he was informed by phone about this job opportunity. My husband gladly accepted this job position. Now we were wondering, is there any need of sending an acceptance letter. If so, should it go out right away, before applying officially for the job? Any experiences are appreciated it! thanks.

If I told you His name, chances are you would recognize it. It isn't like He can't pay.He has definetely got the funds. Just lazy or selfish.I'm just not that important to concern himself with.
He is about 42 or so. The kinda guy that is still given a brand new top of the line truck every year.
He owes me a few thousand and has doubled that amount in fines and late fee's due to the time laps of 9 months.
I call, Text, and IM Him constantly. When I get ahold of him his attitude is rude like its my fault he hasn't paid me yet.
He tells me He'll have the money friday, then on friday He tells me it will clear monday then I can't get ahold of him again for a week and it starts all over. His checks have always been good and cashed with no worries in the past. Usually pays in full in a week, so thats why I trusted him.
I am an independent and written receipts have been long gone in this relationship.
Any idea's what might work to get him to pay me? On goiod terms or not!

I moved in the beginning of 2005 for a job and deducted about 2k moving expenses. Filed, and I got a tax refund. Five months later (in the same year), I moved again out of state. I know I have to file my first job move's moving expenses deduction as extra income for upcoming 2006 taxes in April 2007, but after reporting my 1st move's deduction as extra income AND reporting my 2nd job's move as another moving expense, should I expect to pay the IRS money or get money?

I've always gotten a tax refund, basically I want to know if this will cause me owe money instead. I just want to know if I need to plan ahead to save $ for this.

I was just wondering what it was like to be a Pharmacist. I am the type of person who likes a routine... I HATE flexible schedules, everything should be done in a repeated order. I like my things to be simple, not complicated and stressful. It does not bother me that I might have to work at retail or a hospital; I actually get a sense of... "accomplishment" when I can actually help someone. I have always pictured being a Pharmacist as an easy job. Do not get me wrong, I understand that it is hard to become one, but that is not a problem for me. I am a hard worker and I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to school work; I am not worried about the process of becoming a Pharmacist.

Here is the set up. I have a 5 year old daughter and I have claimed her on my taxes EVERY year. I am in Nevada and her father is in Ohio. The Ohio court FINALLY awarded Child Support last year but ruled we will alternate who claims her on their taxes and this is the first year for him. The sucky part is he hasn't had a job since October 2005 and I make $30k+ a year. She hasn't seen him in years so he has had her 0 months of the year. I sent him the form 8332 so he can claim her exemption.....

It is my understanding that he can claim her exemption as a dependant and use her for Child Tax Credit purposes.

It is my understanding that I can still use her as a "qualifying child" for Head of Household, the EITC, and for Dependant Care Expenses.

Did I understand the IRS rules correctly? I know it says over and over that these can't be split but I think there is an exception for the "Divorced/Seperated Parents" Does me signing form 8332 mean I give up ALL my claiming rights?

By Michigan law does a company have to post a job (internally and/ or externally) or can a manager simply give the job to whomever they want without posting and seeking others who might have the skill set? This action screams discrimination to me.

I'm doing a research paper, and I've managed to compile IBM's stock data back to 1970, and I would greatly appreciate the monthly or yearly closing price going back as far as possible, including the P/E ratio. For some reason, I was able to get the stock splits all the way back to 1925, but IBM's site didn't seem to include any historical stock data. In fact, any site that has historical data would be a step in the right drection. TIA, -Todd

My husband's work moved us to AZ in November, and so we put our house up for sale. We will now be 3 months behind on our house payment at the end of this month. The mortgage company is unwilling to work with us at all on anything! They want over $2,000 by the end of the month to avoid foreclosure. We have already paid 40,000 (4 1/2 years paid on it) for this house and owe more now than when we financed it! We asked them if we could hold off on payments until the house sells, and the answer was no. We asked if they could take less than is owed for the house so that it would sell and they could have all the money (we owe 84,000 for a tax value 79,000 home), and the anwer was no. This company is VANDERBUILT MORTGAGE, and they are so AWFUL! They bought the mortgage from our company we financed with, and we are just stuck! Is there anything we can do legally to avoid foreclosure? I am just amazed how mortgage companies can abuse people so easily and get away with it

I am planning to buy condo and pay all the money upfront, this means I will not be taking out any mortgage. So lets say condo costs 300k what others fees should I expect to pay, for example tax, etc..? Please list the fees and how much they would be if condo costs 300k and I pay the whole sum upfront. Also please note this is a brand new development which was just build so I would be buying directly from developer. Its a 16 units condo building in Brooklyn, New York.

Hello All,
I am a single parent, student, & an employee. Taxes are here now & I need to know if it is possible to file taxes on financial aids like Pell is possible? I have heard students & people from my work place telling me that I can claim it. Is that true? So far, I know that I have my daughter to claim & her daycare vouchers. I get help from the govt. & father doesnt help. & when I did my taxes the 1st time to apply for financial aid the school told me that I didn't check EXEMPT on my tax paper. & they were going to make me pay $4,500 out of pocket. Sure I can pay that if I didnt have a kid but I do. The school said I had to check exempt from now on. I dont get it. I thought that means I didnt want to claim taxes? Did I get this backward? Can you let me know what is the proper procedure to do this. I usually do my own taxes. What will happen to my financial aid? Will the gov't deduct that since they gave it to me for school purposes or what? And what does EXEMPT really mean? TY

I mean how do you write to the government for grants as far as paying your bills to get or try to regain good credit? How do you apply for a grant to remodel your house or buy one for that matter? these are some of the things I worry about because I have 5 children and I need a fresh new start in my finances. I feel if I can start over I won't make the same mistakes.

your supervisor said to me when I called her that she can't talk to me and I would have to talk to Human Resources?? Why she can't talk to me?? Do you know why she said that and what does that imply if she said that?? The supervisor on the other hand said that the employment decision has been made and he can't comment on it when I asked him to reconsider.. Do you know what's going on and why the manager said she can't talk to me and ask me to talk to HR instead? But HR was not the one who decided to terminate my employment there, they would just go by what the manager and supervisor said, so how would HR know and why the manager told me to ask the HR??
