I'm a finance major, but I'm only in my 2nd semester of college. Do you think I can get on a brokerage firm or something of that nature being so young?

It's worth trying/researching at least.

Definitely speak to an adviser at your college. If you're a finance major, your adviser will have a working relationship with companies offering internships and will be able to tell you how competitive specific positions are.

many firms have internships..pick a half dozen firms you are interested in and inquire if they have such a program available
