I was just wondering what it was like to be a Pharmacist. I am the type of person who likes a routine... I HATE flexible schedules, everything should be done in a repeated order. I like my things to be simple, not complicated and stressful. It does not bother me that I might have to work at retail or a hospital; I actually get a sense of... "accomplishment" when I can actually help someone. I have always pictured being a Pharmacist as an easy job. Do not get me wrong, I understand that it is hard to become one, but that is not a problem for me. I am a hard worker and I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to school work; I am not worried about the process of becoming a Pharmacist.

Good memory? That should not be a problem. I still remember all of the things I learned in my freshman year of HS... and my years in middle school.

it can be very stressful. Why do you think Pharmacists have the second highest suicide rate (a distant second to cops!)? But if you a routine, Pharmacy is a good choice.

well, you help people sometimes in hospitals and retail. not all hospital pharmacists sit in the basement and count pills, there are clinical jobs opening up more and more that youre more involved directly with patient care, and some hospitals are hiring patient education pharmacists that sit down with people before they are discharged and talk about new medications and managing conditions, though there arent tons of those kind of jobs yet so theyre a little competitive to land. but yeah if you dont like chaos you might be ok at a slower pharmacy doing 50-100 scrpits a day but you wouldnt survive at a busy walgreens doing 400+ a day where you have to do 6 things at once. and yeah it looks easy but there is a pharmacist shortage right now so a lot of pharmacies are very busy and overwhelmed which can make things very stressful

Pharmacists are health professionals who practice pharmacy. Pharmacists typically take an order for medicines from a physician in the form of a medical prescription and dispense the medication to the patient.

If you don't like flexibility, pharmacy is not for you. Most times, things go nicely, but when they don't, you have to be flexible. Drug therapies get very complicated, very fast. Doctors make many mistakes, and you are the one who has to fix it.
You have to make correct drug recommendations.
