My son lost his license for about a year. Lives in a small town in Minnesota. Not many jobs available. Can't drive to look for a job out of town. Works 2 days a week. It's not enough to pay rent and buy food. Are there any programs to help him? I need helpful and intelligent answers please.

Hi,
You can Apply for what is called a Hardship License, And what they do is give him the permission to drive just to work and back. That should help you!
Call the court house or Motor Vehicles to get the forms you will need to fill out or they may even have them online under Motor Vehicles.

Why are you so concerned about him when he wasn't concerned when he did the "deed" to get his license revoked?
Let him work this out on his own or he'll never grow up and you will be rescuing him for the rest of your life. And don't let him move in with you, it will be the worst thing you can do.

Let him use your phone to call around for programs, rides, whatever he needs and that's it! Step back and let him learn something by this, it's the best thing in the world you can do for him.

Good Luck!

If you have a license you could drive round looking for his. You might be lucky and it will show up tucked down the back of the sofa.
