I recently sent a resume and cover letter for a job that I MUST have. I called a week later and they told me that in the next 2-3 weeks they will be calling for interviews. I want them to know that I am the best candidate and want this job more than anyone. I did my best on my resume and letter but now can I do anything besides wait by the phone or should I just leave it at what I have already given them?

How come the government gives up on you once you're past 25 or whatever age connexions stops at? I've done a degree and a PGCE and can't get a job, despite applying for heaps. The uni is supposed to help me, but they won't answer questions they don't like such as 'what else can I do besides teaching with my qualification?' and the people in the job centre are only willing to spend time with the people who want money, in my experience, rather than those who want jobs. I was just pointed in the direction of the job ads rather than given any advice, while I watched a girl applying for her benefit get heaps of time. The government has spent thousands of there money training me to teach- you'd think they'd ensure there were anough jobs to go around, or give those who haven't jobs a little more time and help in the search. Do you know anywhere else where I can get good careers advice please?

I am in my last year of law school, still searching for a post-graduation job. When my parents filed for bankruptcy, they were allowed to stop paying on their home morgage (around $1200 a month) under the Bankruptcy Code. This "automatic stay" has been in place since my dad filed, a total of 6 months. Hence, for 6 months my parents have been living in their house that is about to be foreclosed by the bankruptcy courts without paying a morgage. You think they would have saved money for moving right? NOPE. They don't have a dime!
I am a LOT wiser with my money. I have a $5000 mutual fund account, over $3000 in savings, 2 jobs in which I place "extra" money in money market account.
They have paid my car note and insurance ever since I have been in law school. I feel that I should help them with their down payment on their new house but I am scared because they are not financially responsible and I need that money to pay for bar dues, bar classes, the bar itself, moving expenses, etc.

The receptionist at the company i work for comes in late everyday and takes a day off almost once a week. The owner of the company is really busy and hasnt taken attention to this. When she decided to come in late or not at all i have to take over her work until she comes back. I cant do my work at her desk or her work at my desk so when she returns i have a ton of work and am very behind. Is there anything i can say to her while being professional? Im afraid this is making me look bad and i would like to say something to someone but i was told i shouldnt so that i dont make myself look bad. it bothers me even more because she makes more money than i do and i have never come in late and i get days off approved.
