It all depends on what industry you are planning on working. In most cases, yes. I speak English, German, and Swedish. I am currently looking at two new jobs in customer service. I have two friends, who majored in Spanish. Just because we speak a second language (or more) our hourly rates for jobs are higher than those who do not speak a second language. In most cases you will find that you are offered a higher wage, even if you don't use your language. If you are planning a job with a Government agency, the rate in pay is noticeable. If you are proficient enough in any of the languages, you can also do work on the side for Government agencies. One of my friends works on contract with the courts. He is paid $50 per hour to translate for the courts. Hope this helps.

I talk English, French, Japanese and Arabic (so as of fluency, English is my mom tongue), and I do have goals in each English and French, as good as goals which include each languages. In the beyond while I used to be much less fluent I had goals in French in which I nonetheless understood the whole thing conveniently. It could also be a random query, however It's fairly fascinating - I desire that I'd requested it! Hope this is helping. x

It sounds like you have an excellent start. My aunt has an Masters degree in linguistics and worked for the CIA for awhile. You may want to consider any Arabic language, there is a great need for translators right now in that area.

Any language could possibly be of benefit in the long run - of course it depends partly on your career choice?
But in general Spanish would definitely be my first choice, simply because it is spoken in so many countries. After that the other European languages may also be easier to pick up.

Spanish and French. If you learn Italian too, they are all romance languages so they should be easy to pick up.

Yes, indeed, if you intend to go into a business that trades internationally. If you aren't, you're possibly using valuable job seeking time avoiding the issue.
