I recently sent a resume and cover letter for a job that I MUST have. I called a week later and they told me that in the next 2-3 weeks they will be calling for interviews. I want them to know that I am the best candidate and want this job more than anyone. I did my best on my resume and letter but now can I do anything besides wait by the phone or should I just leave it at what I have already given them?

If you have any inside friends, either literally within the corporate structure or, for example, a large client of theirs, or someone else who actually knows the executives or someone at Human Resources, you might have that person phone and make a verbal recommendation. But short of that, I think you would only sound like a pest.
