I have a 97 Taurus that I have paid on for 4 yrs with an interest of about 22%. The past year I have had to replace the transmission twice and once again the car is not running. I can not afford the payments and the repairs. I tried to refinance with them with a lower percentage, lower payments, pay off amount, etc. They would not accept anything and have added interest and are now telling me that I can not make payments anymore that I owe them $7k to get the title. I told them to take the car back more then once I asked where I can voluntarily return it and they want take it. They said it is not worth the money for them to take it back. They have it listed on my credit report as charged off/repo. Now I have a car that I am paying insurance on and that does not run and no title! I need to go get another car that runs. I do not have $7k to pay them off. Any suggestions?? How can I get rid of this car??? I could fix it and they could take it at any time ..since it is listed as a repo

I met my roomates on an apartment referral site and they suck. They are messy and annoying. So, I am moving out after living with them for 4 months (it was a month to month arrangement). I gave them 45 days notice and it was agreed that I would use my deposit as last month's rent.
Now, my move date is 2 weeks away and they want me to pay last month's rent. They said they will give me the deposit at the end of the month. But, if it was already agreed on, I don't think I'm being out of line by telling them I'm not going to give them the money. If they don't have the money now, they aren't going to have it in three weeks... I don't want to get screwed out of $600. Am I right??
I am just afraid they might try something... Like stealing my stuff.

Specifically, how do I handle a tax form for a refund that my ex and I received from our state of Georgia 2005 return. I know that it must be counted as income. The problem is that we filed jointly last year and now we must file as singles. The tax form shows both of our names but only his SSS number. I am willing to count the income as mine but I am concerned that he may be held accountable at some point because it is tied to his SSS number. Any help will be greatly appreciated! As I mentioned above, the state tax refund is from Georgia.

i know for accounting CPA license is beneficial

I have an invention I want to submit but don't have the finances, there are roughly 1.9-2.4 million accidents from my research related to my invention, and more that could be prevented that are blamed on other factors. This idea could help prevent at least 40-60% of them, and I am not being unrealistic or over zealous.
I don't want to disclose my idea in the fear it can be stolen. I really want to start approaching auto manufucturers in the hope one of them will be willing to help me with the cost of patenting it and offering it to other auto manufucturers.
I would hire an attorney, but they require upfront payment which I don't have at the moment. I would wait till I have the money, but people are dying every single day.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the military. My wife and I are from different states. When we got a new assignment, I kept my home state residency and pay my taxes there (cheaper), while she has to pay taxes in the new location. I WS IN UK FOR 2 WEEKS AND I RECIVED THE RECIPET OF MY STAY IN THE HOTEL THAT SAYS THAT THE VAT IS 120 POUND.
