Hi all,

I was wondering if some people would mind supplying their opinions on strong real estate areas for growth potential. For example, what the Boston suburbs were 10-15 years ago. What are your opinions on areas in the country that will be "absorbed" into a city's price structure 10-15 years from now, but is affordable now? I've heard North Carolina and Viriginia are the prime spots right now...does anyone know what areas there fit this bill? Or anywhere else in the country? Love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

Please help...
My partner works in a small office of about 8 people investing stock for retired people. He has no financial background but is getting a masters in public administration. The woman who hired him (the "boss") knew of this and told him that sufficient training would be provided.

Problem:
He has very little financial background and the training that was promised is NOT THERE. The woman who is training him is VERY nasty and unhelpful to the point where he doesn't want to ask her anything because he feels like a burden.

If it was me, I would have no problem respectfully putting my foot down to this woman and asking any questions, regardless of if I'm being a "burden" because it's her job to train me. I would not let the woman's "figure it out yourself" attitude get to me and ask any and all questions until I feel comfortable. If problems persisted, I would respectfully approach the "boss" and inform them of the situation / how I feel. Is that bad advice to give him?

I rented a home for 1 year and 2 months. I paid upfront the 1st and last months rent + $1000 or $2000 ....i don't even remeber....the problem my ex-husband had just died....i had come into some money because of....and i was still in shock and suffering from a very severe depression.....i had misplaced the original lease....i left entering a treatment center......he had had me evicted because i didn't pay that last months rent....at the time, i was too messed up on drugs to take care of this....but i know he took advantage of me...i went to the housing crisis center for the landlord tenant workshop. They said by law i had 2 years to notify him of my address and request my deposit back. I sent him a certified letter (the form that gave me). The letter came back to me, with him never accepting it, which tells me he knows he did wrong...otherwise why didn't he accept it. He has several (at least 8, probably more) rent houses in the area of mine (he lived on 2 blocks from me).

I work for an ambulance company and I recently went to the bank to make a deposit. When I made my deposit I found out that my account was negative because my payroll check bounced. I notified my company and they said they would issue me a new check. They issued me a new check but it was still a few dollars short. I also told them that I wanted my overdraft charges reimbursed. They agreed to pay them but I am still waiting on the money. One day they say that they are going to wire it and then the next day they say they are going to mail it. I am sick of messing with them. I need some advice on how to handle this.

I've just started a new online business and I do not have a lot of left over capital for advertisements. So far I have used word of mouth to spread the idea. I need a way to get the business idea out and once the ball is rolling it will generate more and more interest. It's the initial jump into the business sector that has been giving me trouble.

I was told that they would send me a "Demand Letter" for being 2 months behind. I plan on getting to only one month behind when I get paid next, but what can they do if they send me this letter? I don't want my vehicle to be reposessed. I am only 5 payments from finishing off the 60 months plan and my vehicle was purchased in September 2001.

All info will be appreciated.
