I recieved an e-mail stating that I won this amount in sterling and I have no idea what they are talking about

well yes it is from U.K. They are saying that i won the Brittish lottery. They gave me a phone number to call and the " winning number". I don't have to do anything with the e-mail.

Its a scam !!!!!!!! Do not respond to it. By the way a british pound,
(currency) liken to the Us dollar is a type of currency. Sterling is a type of silver. So if someone wants to GIVE you that much of a precious comodity, think twice about the circumstances that are required to receive the phony prize. Usually scams like this emanate from the U.K. and Afica:(Niger and other countries)

English currency. Equal roughly to about a million and a half dollars. I haven't looked at the exchange rates in quite some time. Who is it that likes you so much? Ask them if they like me.

delete it. they will ask for your bank account number and a bunch of other stuff or send you a phony check and want cash back. Its a scam trap.....run run...
