I am trying to find an apartment on long island and I don't have time to go around myself. I was thinking of trying an agent. Anyone have any advice.

I suggest www.rent.com. I was in Utah and trying to find an apartment in Augusta, GA. I didn't have time or resources to go look personally, but the tours and the layouts on rent.com were amazing! Also, apartment complexes often offer special incentives to people who find their complexes on the site (I got 1/2 month free) and rent.com offers $100 to anyone who signs a lease for an apartment they found on the site. =)

Go to your local apartment locator or Realtor. Their services are free, and they have the expertise to find an apartment that is close to your requirements as possible.

You could do that or go to craigslist.com, forrent.com, rent.com, apartments.com! Some of these sites have photos and virtual tours! If you want to save yourself some money thats something to look into! Otherwise do what works for you!
