Even though only one other person in my department had their hours cut. Everybody else in the same position got more hours or kept there schedulule at 80 hours for the two week period. Some of the employees who got more hours, where younger and have less experience then I do. I would appreciate comments on this.
Thank you,
genx

The FMLA is a very complex law and in order to determine whether or not a violation has occurred, a lot more information is necessary, like what your health care provider has stated as being required for your intermittent leave, why the other person's hours were cut, what reason the employer gives for changing your hours and whether or not the employer can document this reasoning, etc., etc., etc.

Your best bet is to contact the Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor. You can reach them at 1-866-4US-WAGE or at www.dol.gov. They have investigators there who can ask you all the right questions and determine, based on your answers, whether or not you have a valid complaint.

Hope this helps - good luck to you.
